Crown Toyota Scion

Today I went to Crown Toyota Dealership in Lawrence, Kansas, because the 2015 Toyota Highlander, that I had purchased from them in March 2020 was making whirring noises in the engine. After waiting over two hours, the Maintenance Staff informed me that I would need to replace the engine, which was well over $5,000, or I could talk to the Sales Representatives about doing a trade-in. However, after speaking to the Sales Department, they could only find similar vehicles in the price range of $22,000. The purchase price of my highlander was over $19,000. Trading into a higher priced vehicle will increase my payment, which I cannot do. I trusted Toyota to pull through with being the best and was sadly scammed into buying a broken Highlander and now the Sales Staff is trying to sell me a more expensive vehicle! My Highlander has less than 100,000 miles on it and is only five years old! It should not be having any major mechanical issues, such as engine problems. The Crown Dealership even had me sign paperwork saying that the vehicle was mechanically sound and checked by their Maintenance Staff, which included the engine. I was told by the Maintenance Staff that the issue with the engine “could not have been for-seen.” I have already paid over $3,500, including a $1,000 down payment on the Highlander, and yet the best they could do was replace my engine for over $5,000 or trade me in for a more expensive vehicle? I feel that Toyota is not standing up to their name, which is to be the best long lasting vehicles around.

Just purchased a car from Charlie Ross at Crown Toyota this past week! It was a very smooth experience all the way through. Charlie was able to match my top priorities with multiple car options and he was very knowledgeable about the variations in the models. Charlie didn't pressure me in any way but allowed me to arrive at my decision based off the information he provided to me. He also asked me questions to get to know me. We recently worked with Dave Wilson at Crown Toyota on the purchase of a new Prius. It was absolutely the best experience we have ever had in purchasing a car. Prior to the actual purchase, Dave was easy to contact and very responsive to our needs. The day we bought the car, Dave reviewed everything we needed to know in a relaxed, easy to understand way. This was our first Prius and there are many things about it that are different from what we are used to. He was very knowledgeable and even followed up the next day to be sure all was going well and to see if we had any questions. The financing portion of the deal was also very well organized so that it was completed in a very timely manner. We would definitely contact Dave Wilson for any future car needs.

They are pretty good. I like that they are prompt. They hold to their commitments. They have a good waiting area. They have TV and coffee while you wait. My interaction with them is good. They are respectful and professional. The cost is fair.

We were very appreciative of the time and effort David Wilson gave us. He was very knowledgable throughout and interested in making sure we found the vehicle we needed. He spent extra time to educate us in how to maximize our enjoyment after our purchase. All the folks we met at Crown Toyota were friendly and helpful. All and all, it was a wonderful experience!

As far as I'm concerned, the only place to buy a car from for the rest of my car shopping days. Amazing courtesy, honesty and service. I will recommend Crown to anyone who is ever looking to buy a car. Could not have been a better experience. While my son and I were waiting in the lounge, our salesman (Tristan) went out and bought us dinner and brought it back to us to eat while we waited. If you're ever looking to buy another car, do yourself a favor and go to Crown Toyota in Lawrence. It will definitely be worth your time, even if you have to drive a bit of a distance.

I have been taking my car here since the summer of 2014. Their regular service has gone well so far. The staff do excellent work and are very positive. They listen very well and check everything you ask. I have had no issues with getting the car in for a service and they were surprisingly quick.

TC was willing to meet with us even on his day off. We needed a relaible used car. We were able to reach a great price in one evening. The car was in fabulous shape and the detailing staff did an excellent job getting it ready for us. I had great customer sevice with TC and the finance department. It was very easy and hassle-free.

The customer service there is outstanding. They did what they said they were going to do, when they said they were going to do it.

I love this dealer for my toyota service, and I use them for everything, from oil changes to tire purchases (free lifetime tire rotation for a purchase of 4 tires), and any maintenance issues. They are always courteous, fair, and professional. They are not the cheapest, but I don't feel they gauge you on price, either. They are a great value for your money. And unlike other dealers I have been to in the area, they are not constantly and quot;findingand quot; things that you supposedly and quot;needand quot;. They stick to the service manual.
