A+ IMPROVEMENTS

It was a busy time of the year, so service was delayed at times. However, this was explained to me from the start and the project was completed within expectations. Mark reviewed/inspected the work of his staff with me and resolved any discrepancies between work requested and work completed. A+ was professional and pleasant in all interactions.

Last summer a racoon ripped out the vent slats in our gable vent on the side of house and got into our attic.  I had tried to climb up and replace it myself not realizing that the molding around the vent was all custom cut and installed.  The vent I had bought at the supply store wasn't quite the right size and was going to need to be custom fitted to work properly.
I'm not that stable on roofs, so when my wife saw how shaky I was after the first attempt she wouldn't allow me to go back up.  So, I went into the attic and put up plywood to cover the opening until we could get someone to come out and put in a new vent.
After some failed attempts to get someon to come out I called A+ Improvements and talked to Mark.  He answered and took all my information even though it was obvious he was on his lunch break.  He even drove by later that day to take a look and give me an estimate.  He said he could actually come out the next Monday AM first thing in the morning before he headed to another job b/c it shouldn't take long to install.

He arrived Monday AM with another gentleman and they quickly got up there and installed the vent.  Whole job proably only took an hour.  When he was done he knocked on the door and pointed out a few other things that he had noticed while he was up on the roof that we should probably think about fixing/working on.  Then, handed me the invoice and it ended up being only 2/3 of his original estimate.  Pleasant surprise.  Pleasant experience all around.  Will definitely call Mark again when a project is a little too much to handle on our own.

The screened porch was having some problems with water damage in the siding and wood around the screened windows. A+ came to look at the job and bid; all of the wood was exposed, so we expected an accurate bid... Seemed very honest and sincere, and did tell us that the bid was his best estimate. Unfortunately, the job took days longer than he projected, cost over 2000 more than the bid and my husband had to tell him to do some of the work over because it looked awful. Would not use this company again.

This was a challenging project. Our bathroom floor was in bad shape, had suffered years of water damage, and sagged badly. I hired Mr. Naff to replace the floor so tile could be installed. He and his assistant, Jim, performed the job flawlessly and under budget. They completed the job in less than two days and produced a strong and level surface for tiling. They did this without cutting corners, breaking wall tile, or making other mistakes. In fact, they recognized that the floor had a structural defect and went about repairing it quickly and economically. They simply did the job right, and their work contributed significantly the final product, which was a beautiful new tile floor. Mark Naff is a thorough and dedicated professional and highly recommended for general repairs, remodeling, renovation, or construction of almost any kind.
