SWALMS ORGANIZING SERVICE
About us
Swalms Organizing Service provides fast, courteous service with minor interruptions to my client's lives. My background includes a degree in Industrial Design from the Kansas City Art Institute, prior ownership of a successful industrial design and manufacturing company in Kansas City and 20 years in organizing and downsizing assistance. I specialize in organizing storage areas: attics, basements, garages, shops, storage rooms and storage units. I offer down sizing help as well. I assist my clients with deciding what to keep and donate, take donations to donation centers and take paper, cardboard and steel for recycling. Trash is bagged and ready for disposal. All areas are clean and neat when finished. I build simple and sturdy custom shelving that is designed to fit any space. Please read my Angie's List reviews and see my photos of completed jobs. Please call me to schedule a free estimate of your project.

"It's great to have past client call me back. I enjoyed working with The Bryans again. I built 32 feet of shelving for them this time - enough to last for quite a while. Thank you again for giving me another call!"
"This was a quick two day job. I cleaned up her storage area the first day, then organized her garage the second day. The job went smoothly with my client well satisfied with the things I accomplished."
"I enjoyed working with Mrs [Member Name Removed]. I organized her garage and basement. In the process, I took about five truckloads of items for donations - children's toys, unwanted furniture, decorative items. This job took four days to complete. Thank you for calling me!"
"This was not my client!"
"Thank you [Removed Member Name] for this nice review. I was able to use existing shelving in her basement. The garage was a very small one car garage with very little excess room. I believe I took about two truckloads of donations and recycling materials from the basement and garage. In the garage, I removed everything from the space, then built shelving along the back wall. It extended over a rear door for maximum storage. Part of the shelving included a small work bench for her gardening - her favorite hobby. When I was finished, the car and all her tools fit inside the small space - a very successful garage organization!"
"[Member Name Removed] was a nice person to work with. My ability to take things to donation and recycling centers makes basement organizing jobs go quickly. Generally old cardboard and packing materials take up half the space in basements. Being able to take things for donations helps clear out the spaces and benefits others at the same time!"
"I enjoyed working with Mrs [member name removed]. She had a small area needing organization. I used 10 boxes which I purchase at Office Depot which cost $20. She said nothing when I gave her my bill, I would have happily explained the cost had she asked."
My husband and I work from home and had expected to be deeply involved. This wasn't necessary because once he had a plan, he did all the work! At the end of each day, he would show us his progress and we would do the happy dance when he left!!! Every area was organized with archive boxes labeling the contents. Holiday decorations were placed in storage tubs we already owned and placed neatly. We are seeing surfaces that haven't been visible for years. We have started on these projects at least 10 times and have never made the progress he has in just 3 days. He is quietly brilliant at organizing. He is respectful of our belongings and our feelings about them. After offering a suggestion, he does what we ask. He has a number of suggestions about local recycling, donations, etc. that we weren't aware of and are very helpful.
His fees are more than reasonable for the amount of work he does, and be clear that HE does the work!! My husband made the statement that his cost is a great investment. We are reclaiming not only space but our peace of mind.
"I was very happy to help my clients get this project finished. Thank you for calling me!"
"Mrs [Member name removed] was a nice lady. I spent five days on her rather large project. My standard rate is $300/day which includes taking items such as cardboard, steel and papers to recycling and taking items to donation centers. I also can take paint for recycling as part of garage organizing projects. Many garages and basements have been overfilled by well meaning husbands, Mrs Bryan had that problem. I was happy to help her get the basement cleaned up!"
"I enjoyed working with Mr [Member name removed]. I try to respond quickly to my Angies List members."
"My standard rate is $40/hour or $300/day. Many organizers are much higher priced than me, so I feel good about my fee rate."
"I enjoyed working for this client. This was a quick project that simply involved building a small shelving system in their garage, then sorting their belongings into labeled clear tubs. They wanted to be able to park two motorcycles and one car in the garage, after my organizing everything fit as planned."
"This report was posted 6 months after the job was completed. I am a one man business - my client might not be remembering my specific work. When I finished the job, she thanked me and said how happy she was I had been able to come."
"Thank you for that nice report. I enjoyed working with you and look forward to helping you again some time in the future."
"Thank you for the nice review. This was one of the larger garage organization jobs of the year! It turned out very well and we were able to get the basement organized as well. I enjoyed working with both of you on this project."
