Quinn Concrete Construction

I had Quinn concrete build a stamped concrete by my pool. Joe did not do the estimate or work but did come out to check on the job once. They installed the patio the day before a rainy stretch so it didn’t get sealed for a few days, when the guy came back to put some sealer on he asked me if I had a paint roller and equipment to apply the sealer since all he showed up with was a can of sealer. I didn’t have anything so he left to go get a cheap roller and rolled on the liquid. It had started misting and said the sealer could go even if it was damp. Within the year the patio has cracked right down the middle in half and split apart so we can’t even use the patio because it’s a safety hazard. I’ve called Joe at least a half dozen times over the last several months and can’t get him to call me back. The one time he called me back he said he would come out to look at it to see what could be done but never showed. I’ve gotten an attorney to see if I can recoup any damages and I will have to find a new contractor to repair my property.

Concrete job done very well initially and price reasonable. Problem was the approach section of my driveway which was scaling and flaking within first year. Could not get any return contact to ask about possible resolution. Still waiting and would reconsider this review if there was any return call.

Mr.Quinn came within 2 days of my request for an estimate.which was by far the lowest estimate I had received. In about two days the job was done including preparation and clean up. Job was well done.

Joe was on time in all his dealings with us, from the bid, all the way to start and completion of the project. He worked quickly in this difficult rainy season. We were very pleased with the final product and he was on hand himself for most of the work. He answered and offered solutions to all questions we asked him.

Joe showed up fast for the estimate, his prices were very reasonable, the job was done right when he said it would be. He gave us a couple addresses to check out for his previous work as well. There were no problems with the construction at all, the only issues we ran into was that some of our facia rock was knocked loose on the front of the house during stoop demolition resulting in another $800 for replacement of the facia, But that's because we elected to replace the entire rock facing instead of trying to get different rock to do a repair. Joe did call us the minute it was apparent that the rock was being knocked loose to get our permission to continue, and there are a couple of boot prints in our stamped concrete pattern on our deck patio, but these will most likely be covered by the firepit.. So still an "A" job for the work done, I would recommend and would use Quinn again if I need more concrete work done in the future.

Joe - the owner, builder, superintendant, and local KCK guy - was great to work with.  He fits his motto, "No Job too big or too small".  They covered the details and worked efficiently even in the worst weather possible.  The quality was no less than expected, cleaned up after themselves, and were always polite with a professional attitude.  He did work for several neighbors and all seem happy.  My next concrete job will be calling Joe first.

Joe Quinn returned my call for an estimate quickly and showed up on time. His estimate was very reasonable and his crew actually was able to start my job 2 days early. My old crumbling sidewalks and steps were removed and framed on a Friday and all of the concrete was poured on Monday morning. The result was beautiful. Several neighbors commented on how professional Joe's crew was and loved how the project turned out. The thing that impressed me the most was that Joe knew I was planning on planting a new lawn where the sidewalk was and used his Bobcat to scrape the old grass away and remove some concrete blocks at no additional charge. The bill he submitted was for the exact amount of the estimate. My next door neighbor has hired him to replace his sidewalk. Thanks Joe!

It was a positive experience from the beginning to the end.
