My computer died on a Thursday afternoon. I didn't know about MacHeroes, but when I took it to an Apple store for repair the next day, they couldn't help me due to the age of my machine. They told me about MacHeroes KC.
I can't say enough good things about MacHeroes and the owner, Tom Willett. I left a message on a Friday afternoon, and after the weekend was over, I got a return call from Tom. We set up an appointment to bring my machine in (and he did offer to pick it up). In a few days my machine was ready. I was happy with the price, the service and the results.
When I need computer services in the future, MacHeroes KC has my business.

They charge depending on the amount of data recovered. They were able to get all our data back, ( a big deal as I had scanned all our pictures and negatives for the past 40 years as well as all the digital and film to cd's, and hadn't back them all up) as well as coming to our house at our convenience to reinstall. They helped us find an inexpensive backup hard drive. The first home visit reinstalled the "lost" data, installing an antivirus software, putting the data back where it should be and teaching us how to set up and use the external backup and other stuff we didn't know. The next day I realized that we didn't have any documents from m to z. I called and they came back that night after I got home from work, which happened to be a Sunday night, from 9-11:30 pm (the only time I was able to meet with them). They refused to cash the check we wrote until we were 100 percent satisfied. Not being a computer geek I know that when I get my next computer I will have them do all the data transfer. They can also work remotely to solve smaller issues. They were prompt, responsive and very professional. While he was here he also was able to research an issue I was having with my Ipad and our home printer.
