We hired Jamie Camacho to do some work for us back in January 2017. Things honestly started off great we agreed on a price and Jamie and his crew started working. We we're paying in increments based on how far along he was on the job. The problem was that he kept asking for money more frequently to the point where the contract was paid in full in about March. There was about 10% left to do on the house and that's when Jaime started giving us the run around and lying about when he would be at our house to work. Long story short is after about Four months of trying to get him to finish up he just stopped responding all together. The end result is that we are taking him to small claims for to recoup the money we are having to pay other contractors to finish the job. Jaime does a marginal job when it comes to painting and demo but his tile work and attention to detail is horrible. The tiled shower we paid him to do was some of the worst tile work our new tile contractor had seen. We had to rip 80% of the shower tile down and completely redo the floor for the shower. Other notable bad work: - Tore our the ductwork out to our bathrooms and bedrooms so we had no air flow for months - Started building a closet for us and just gave up - Horrible trim work - left our drywall a mess in a lot of places - Started building an overhang over our back door got halfway through and quick working on it. - Installed shower parts wrong so we had water pouring into our basement One last thing to note is that he would be the shopping at homedepot and they would call me and I would pay for the items over the phone. I'm pretty sure he didn't think I was paying attention and he purchased tools and even a bathroom vanity without my permission. When I confronted him about the vanity he said it was for our house even though we already had a vanity. He left the box in the rain and I wasn't even able to return it.
