Removed 3 very large trees, ground the stumps and trimmed other trees and bushes. Excellent service. On time, cleaned up, great pricing, professional. Would definitely hire again when needed.

I can't attest to their work because I would never hire them, but speaking as the neighbor of a job they had I can tell you they have no problems taking over your yard, parking large trucks on your yard, taking a part fencing to your backyard, killing your grass and never thinking about asking persmission to do any of it. When I approached a worker wondering where this was headed and could they re-attach my fence -he cussed me out and said he could do whatever he wanted, then sent me to the OWNER who prompltly cussed me out and told me "You should be thankful he's cutting down these trees" then cussed me out again. The trees weren't mine to cut and actually were beutiful an useful but that's a matter of taste. They did re-attach my gate and my fence but there are tire tracks where my grass used to be . I did call the police who were more than happy to enforce the actual laws they were violating but I held off to see if they put my fence up. These are dishonest people and if they sneak around cutting corners when people aren't there think what else they are doing. This is not the only review about this exact same practice

Great guys worked hard were very nice and did a great job. Will use them again. Lady in the office was very nice. Calls were answered and returned promptly. Told her even though it was a lot of money would have paid them extra $500 if I had it. They had a lot of trimming to do.

They got the tree down and hauled away over a two day period. The problem comes with the removal of the stump, which is about five feet across and 8-10 inches tall. They told me that the stump grinder was being repaired and they would come back out and remove the stump within a week, that was on 14 Nov 2016. I called them on 12 Dec 2016, was told I was on their "list". I called them again on 23 Jan 2017 and was told I was on their "list" again. I called them on 3 Feb 2017 and again I was told I was on their "list". I warned them that I would be writing reviews that would not be a good rating for them, apparently the do not care! I would warn anybody wanting to hire this company, that they can not be trusted to complete the job, therefore I would advise that you do not pay them more than half what is owed until the whole job is completed. I paid them $4500 of the $5000 and apparently it is not worth the balance to come back and complete the job.

Excellent job.  They provided second best bid, but had a far better AL pedigree than the lowest bidder and one that was just as good as the much-higher bidders.  They were also more responsive than the others.  Then they communicated well with me during weather disruptions and performed the service as planned.  All went very well - I was very pleased with the work quality, price and customer service.  Exceeded expectations.

We set a time of arrival of between 8:00 - 8:30 AM, and they arrived at 8:20 AM.  By 9:40 AM they were done.  We were very impressed.  They had a team of 6 workers with 3 different trucks and they worked together very efficiently. They did have have our street blocked when they felled the tree, but it was less then 5 minutes by the time they had the tree cut into pieces that could be picked up by their crane.

They did a really nice job. They cleaned up really well when they were done. They forgot to do one piece of it and they actually came back. They apologized and took care of it.

The work crew arrived at 8:30 A. M and began performing their assigned tasks. They trimmed all of the trees on our property and removed and shredded a very large amount of limbs and dead refuse. After all of the needed work was done they cleaned the property and removed all of the downed materials. They worked for about six hours and completed the job and we were very pleased with job they had completed. We felt that the amount work related to the cost was quite fair.

They came out that morning to give me an estimate. I wanted to talk to them about the possibility of saving the tree by cabling it but that was determined to be useless. Many large branches have fallen over the past few years and I knew if nothing was done it could cause severe damage to our roofs. Since I had a brand new roof put on I was very nervous about taking care of it promptly. At the time I signed the agreement, he wasn't sure when he could get out here to do it. Since I was getting other estimates, I told him that the first that could make it out got the job. I'm glad he took me seriously (I was) and later that day I got a surprise call from KC Tree that a crew was on their way out to take down the tree. I was thrilled. They did it fast and efficiently, landing all of the tree limbs in the yard, and not hitting my driveway. They were gone within the hour.

Since the cost included the grinding of the stump, I had been told at the time of the estimate that there would be a pile of "sawdust" left and that it would settle down. However, when I arrived home I was surprised to see how high the pile actually was. It was unacceptable to me because the leftover wood particles would have run down my driveway in the rain and clogged up my grate which protects my home from water since I'm on a downward slope. I believe it would have also run down the easement into the pond as it left a trail behind in the neighbor's yard. So, the neighbors helped me bag it up. There were 10 heavy bags that I used to create a d*** to protect my driveway when the hard rains came that were due in. I called the company the next day to see if they could haul off the bags. The company they subcontract with doesn't take bags. I wasn't about to dump the bags out, and it would have cost me an extra $120 + so I declined. At the time of the estimate, I was told that they could haul it off but it wasn't really discussed further, and no extra charge was quoted for it either. I seriously doubt I would have taken them up on the offer anyway, but kind of regretted it after I saw how much was left behind. This wasn't an issue when another tree was ground down several years ago by a different company because it was on flatter ground. My only advice to people is to really think about how a mound of sawdust could affect the rest of your yard if heavy rains are expected. I didn't realize the problem until I actually saw the mound of sawdust. I guess some people like it left to use as mulch. Not me. I must say, though, they did do a great job in grinding the stump-obviously by the amount of sawdust left. You cannot tell that a tree was there. Thus, I look forward to getting some grass growing there next year.

They did an excellent job. Came out to the house, gave a written estimate which was much cheaper than the other bids we had received to remove this tree. When contacted to set up removal they scheduled within a week, showed up on time and worked very diligently. Because the tree over hanged the house they had to be very careful when cutting to prevent damage to the house and deck. They cleaned up the mess and were polite and courteous.

Went great, KC Tree came to my house, gave me a quote and did what they said they would do. They even trimmed some branches on a 5th tree that was hanging over the house and deck at NO extra charge. Customer Service, integrity, professional, polite, qualities that are EXTREMELY rate in businesses these days. Very impressed, highly recommended.

They had been out to prune the tree two days earlier and spent 2 ½ hours with 5 men doing the work and charged $475. The 2nd trip was an emergency on a Saturday but we did not expect such an exorbitant charge for similar work. After the work was done, the remaining tree trunk was all jagged and messed up on the top. They announced that they could come back and trim it all up for $500 more and cable the two sides of the tree together for another $350. I called the owner, Zach Johnson, and asked for an explanation of the $2125 bill. He never gave me any hourly rate on the people involved or explained the bill and hung up on me when I kept questioning him. The company took advantage of the situation- we could not go get several estimates to get the situation remedied. We had to do something about the roof and we had to do it quickly. Later, when the insurance adjustor saw the bill he was surprised it was so high. The insurance company usually allows $370 for a large branch to be removed and $80 for the disposal of the branch. A consumer has a right to know what he is paying for. If Zach Johnson cannot better explain his charges (over $2000 dollars for heaven’s sake!) and then hangs up the phone on you for asking in the first place, then this company and it’s owner are not professional and not to be trusted. Stay away from this company!

I had Zach Johnson (owner) give me a bid quit a few months ago for having my cottonwood tree taken down. I was unable to do it at that time and called him a couple of weeks ago. He stood by his original bid and within the week, the Cottonwood was taken down, the stump was ground out and my pinoak was trimmed up. All the debris was removed and almost everything (except for a guttering and trash bin) was put back in place. He was very easy to deal with.

I would have given them an excellent report. The work was done on time and very efficiently. The cleanup was excellent including some old debris left in the yard. The problem arose when I found one small limb left on one of the trees in the backyard. I have been calling for four weeks, and had two responses, the first was that they had a backlog and would be out next week. No show. The second, last week, was that all of their crews had gone to Texas to help with the clean up after Ike. Nothing since then.
