JNA Painting & Fine Finishes

Jason just finished with refinishing my kitchen cabinets. I couldn't possibly be happier. Price was very fair considering the amount of work done. We had just had new granite counters and backsplash installed and we were very worried about issues during the refinishing process. Jason and his worker completely taped and encased in plastic anything and everything that could have been damaged. Perfect!! We had our cabinets stained a cherry wood finish. The off the shelf color wasn't exactly what we were looking for so Jason did his mixing magic and PRESTO! It was perfect and exactly what we wanted. The entire project took a week but Jason made sure we had access to appliances once he left for the day. Couldn't have asked for more. Once the cabinets were done we extended the project and had him paint the kitchen and dining area. Naturally, we were concerned about the now refinished cabinets. Not to worry. Everything was again enclosed in plastic and taped. Perfect job! Despite my initial worries about this project, it couldn't have gone better. I would hire him again in a second.

It could not have gone better. This guy and his team are real Pros. The process was amazing as we had a very dated home and it required several steps to prepare and complete the work. We complicated things by having movers in the house (moving in) while they were working and also had hardwoods being installed so the schedule was critical. They met every deadline and the work they completed was amazing. Total flexibility and very accommodating (my wife likes to change things a LOT). Every time we through them a curve they hit it out of the park.

We are very satisfied with the entire project! Jason Newton and his crew of two assistants were a pleasure to work with. I was apprehensive about choosing a stain, but Jason showed me samples on one of our own doors, and lighten the stain until we approved it. We recently had a new stone fireplace installed but kept the original mantel. Jason painted the mantel black & distressed it. The black really"pops", making the mantel stand out! We love it! We would highly recommend JNA Painting & Fine Finishes.

Jason and his crew did a wonderful job.  Very nice guy and good understanding of what he's doing.  Price was fair for a professional running a low-maintenance small business.

Jason spent 8 long days totally redoing our kitchen cabinets from top to bottom. We are extremely pleased with the result. This was an enormous undertaking. Jason called in assistance for the first 4 days, which consisted of removing all doors and drawers and labeling them for reassembly. They then masked off the entire kitchen and sealed it off from the rest of the house with plastic. All surfaces were stripped and sanded to bare wood. Most of the stripping and sanding took place in our garage and driveway.
Jason pays very close attention to detail and will not rest until the finished product meets his standards. This attitude is great to see in a contractor. He was here until 11 PM on the final day, insuring that the job was completed on time. He uses environmentally friendly products, so we stayed in the house throughout the process. (Other companies had told us that we may want to go away for a few days.) When we noticed a few spots that we were not quite satisfied with, Jason came right back to fix them.
We highly recommend Jason and would definitely hire him again. He definitely knows his craft. I think we only got to see a small fraction of what he can do. His estimate was lower than others we received and he did a heck of a lot more than the other bidders were planning to do.

I appreciate Jason's readiness to give me multiple options, one less costly than the rest. The small amount of money spent did much to improve the overall look of the kitchen. The cabinet doors function nicely now. I probably could have done the work myself, taking a lot longer than Jason did and with poorer results. I found Jason to be an easy person to talk to. He was good on keeping me informed about his schedule. His work turned out well. His rates seem fair to me.

Jason and his team were extremely professional. Jason was meticulous with details and in his work. He was accurate with his original bid and estimated time it would take to get the job done. Our staircase is updated and beautiful thanks to the work that he provided. Instead of getting new kitchen cabinets or repainting/restaining he was able to save us money by doing his magic and transforming our exisitng cabinets with sanding and application of a new top coat. We will always recommend him and have plans of using him in the future for pending projects.

We met Jason while he was working in our neighborhood. He was friendly and came highly recommended so we invited him to our home for an estimate. His first project with us was approximately 5 years ago and he has done numerous projects for us and others who have admired his work in our home. For example, he took a simple white mantel and made it look vintage, high-end like it came from somewhere historic. He finished our office to make it look like it has leather walls. He finished our garage doors and entry to look like high-end wood with lots of character. He refinished plain white cabinets to make them look better than we likely could have bought in a custom store for multiples more money. We rehire him for projects and time and again he does not disappoint. In fact we are in the process of remodeling our bathroom and already know he will be refinishing the cabinets and trim. As for price, he is extremely fair and and exceptional value. His work is also durable and he stains behind it. And if your are meticulous, then Jason is for you. I have extremely high standards and the need for attention to detail--so does Jason. I recommend him and his workmanship without reservations.

Working with Jason was a pleasure. All work was done to my satisfaction, on time and within budget. Jason was on-site and he and his team left the site clean and orderly each day. I have had Jason back a second time to paint a bathroom. He accommodated my request with only three days notice.You won't be disappointed in JNA!

Jason Newson, owner, is by far the best contractor we've ever worked with. He provided us a quote that was very reasonable compared to one we'd received to reface the cabinets. Jason explained how refinishing worked and assured us our cabinets would work great with this procedure.
Jason worked hard for 9 days, with only one day missed due to a personal issue, but he called to explain and worked late the next day to make up time.
Jason was very professional and very courteous. He also cleaned up his work area in our garage daily and left our kitchen in the most usable way he could. We never had to eat dinner out during the 9 day process!
It's very clear that Jason loves what he does and knows a lot about it. He takes a great deal of pride in his work and was touching up areas to the bitter end until they were to his and our satisfaction. It's so refreshing to work with someone like him and we're already looking for more projects for him to do!

Several of our neighbors were using Jason to enhance their cabinets and woodwork. After seeing his excellent work and hearing nothing but positive comments we asked him to give us a bid. He came over one evening after finishing for the day at the neighbors and we discussed several finish and color options as well as a ballpark figure. We asked him to put us on his schedule and provide a written proposal. We were in no hurry and knew it would be several weeks before he would be able to begin due to the work he already had scheduled.

Once work started, I quickly realized that even though I'm a do-it-yourselfer, this was a project I'm glad I didn't try to tackle. Jason took a couple of cabinet doors that were being replaced by pan drawers to test different colors which allowed us to pick exactly what we wanted. There were many hours involved in prepping the area to contain any dust, removing hardware, and masking off. Jason was very diligent in the next step which was cleaning and scuffing the existing finish to prepare it for the glaze and paint. All doors and drawers were done at his business to minimize dust and over spray. Once work started it was obvious Jason was a perfectionist even more so than I am and I'm pretty bad (just ask my wife!). We are thrilled with the new look of our kitchen which added to the beauty of our new granite counter tops. Jason bent over backwards to exceed all of our expectations and was a pleasure to work with.

Jason Newton in the owner of his company and does the work himself. He does fabulous work!! Our kitchen cabinets--especially the lower half of our cabinets (not the upper cabinets) were so worn out and beat up after years of kitchen duty, they were a mess. They were Golden Oak finish and I had tried to clean and touch them up to no avail. Jason took the doors off, set up shop in our garage, and for three days cleaned the cabinets, lightly sanded them, then refinished them. He also finished the remaining lower half of the cabinets that could not be removed in the kitchen. Honestly, you would swear I have all new cabinets now. They are so beautiful and the butcher block was sanded and then had tung oil treatment. Jason was careful to protect flooring and to keep anysanding dust to a minimum. The coffee table top looks brand new--you could never tell that about a fourth of the top had been nearly runied by a spilled drink. This guy does good work and for a fraction of the price of new cabinets, you can make your kitchen cabinets look lovely again! Two thumbs up for Jason!
