Was very prompt in following through on the estimate, and was able to do the work soon after--as soon as the weather was appropriate.  He then completed the job just as outlined and did a nice job.  He did the same type of work for both my neighbors and myself and we were both pleased.  We got another estimate which would have been double the cost.  It seems the other company's estimate may have automatically included one or two "frills", but that is not what we were looking for.  The work this company did had a nice finished appearance and was just what I was looking for.  This man was very straightforward and easy to work with, i.e., no sales pitch, just asked what we needed, indicated what he could/would do to meet that need, and did it.

The guys that work for this company are very low on integrity.  They had a backhoe at the job site across the street but decided to park at my house and drive the backhoe across the street to load up in their trailer.  They unloaded some rusty rebar onto my grass.  It was quite a lot.  I went outside and told them to get it off of my grass.  They did but as I was walking back up my deck, one of the guys decided to bad mouth me.  He began calling me names and said he was going to pee in my yard and better yet he was going to drive his backhoe over my yard, to show me.  Now I don't care if this is or is not someone working for me, if this is the level of professionalism that these workers have then I would not hire them to remove dog poop in my yard let alone trust them with concrete around my home. 

The curb cracked a day or two after Sloan finished. He hadn't been paid for that yet and re-poured. A few months later, the driveway developed a huge crack all the way across it. It appears there is not adequate support at the end of the driveway that enters the garage. We called several times and Sloan would blame the maker of the concrete! He already had our money (requested cash) and never came out and made things right. This man was also a supposed friend of my husband's. Nice.
