Wish i could give 0 stars! Don't believe a word any of their ads or website says! We recently inherited my husbands parents house when they passed. We were shopping around to see what offers were looking like when i contacted Jason at Housemax. When i first spoke with him to set up a viewing i informed him another company was coming to view at the same time he wanted to. He then asked if he came out before the other company if we would be willing to just sign on the spot and tell the other company not to come. I should have known right there what this experience was gonna be. When Jason arrived he immediately asked what the other company had offered. He then asked if he made the exact same offer if we'd sign a contract on the spot. Obviously no i needed a better offer. He then did give a slightly better offer but ONLY if i signed a contract immediately right then and there. Since this is my husbands inherited house i told him i needed to discuss it with my husband. So he insisted i get in my vehicle and call my husband and make a decision immediately and sign. By this point i was getting a serious headache from all the pressure. I informed him i was going to go meet my husband for lunch and we would discuss the offer. He then said the offer was only good for 1 hour. We we're so stressed out from all the pressuring we couldnt even enjoy our lunch. Exactly 1h later Jason called to see what our decision was. At which point my husband asked who was paying the closing costs. Which i THOUGHT was a dumb question because all their google ads and atleast 10 different places on their website they state that they pay all closing costs. Boy am i glad i asked, NO! Jason stated they pay absolutely no closing costs at all! He then said we could sleep on it but he was gonna email me the contract and call at 9am and we had to have a decision. Whew ok pressure eased a tiny bit.... nope! Exactly 15min later he called back and said no the offer was only good until 7pm and we had to sign their contract. When i got home i went to housemax.com Along with all their various statements and claims that they cover all closing on their website it also states in numerous places that all offers are valid for 30 days with no pressure! DON'T YOU BELIEVE IT!! i mailed screenshots of all their ads and site statements and asked why all the false advertising and I've never heard from them again. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE STRESSFUL EXPERIENCE! There's alot more but i dont want to write the novel i could. Don't waste your time and blood pressure and don't believe their false advertising lies! What made the whole experience hilarious is the company that came out before Jason told me exactly what he was gonna offer, that he was gonna pressure us to sign on the spot even down to the shady parts of the contract i needed to take note of and it went down EXACTLY how he said it was going to!
