Three generations of our family have been customers of City Wide Heating and Cooling — for the past 60 years. This family owned and operated business gives prompt, professional, dependable, exceptional service at a fair price. They have great integrity, do beautiful work, and offer high quality reliable long lasting products. We have had them service a very old furnace to installing and maintaining a new furnace and air conditioner. My brother, sister, and nieces all use City Wide and all of our experiences have been outstanding. Recently the motor went out on our furnace. The 9 year old furnace was still under warranty. City Wide came out the same day, determined the problem, found a new motor and installed it the same day during a very busy time for them. The only charge was the cost to install the new motor. They truly are the best heating and cooling company in the Kansas City area.

We couldn't be happier to call City Wide our new provider for all our HVAC needs! They literally saved us thousands of dollars on an incident with one of our air conditioning units.
Our systems are 12 years old and we have always used the same company who installed them to maintain them. Three weeks after our regular maintenance was done this year, the smaller unit stopped functioning. We called our regular guys back and the technician said the unit was shot. The compressor and the fan motor were not working. We were told we should buy a new unit and a salesman called us the next day with a bid of $2880.
We decided to get a second bid for a new unit. That salesman wanted us to replace both units at a cost of about $10K.
We decided to get one more bid - City Wide. Their salesman came to the house and when he heard our story he thought it was odd that both the compressor and the fan motor quit at the same time. He suggested another service call. City Wide was great! They had someone at our house that very day who diagnosed a burnt contactor and replaced it for $200.00.
This is a company you can trust. They are prompt, professional, and above all, have integrity. Everybody else just wanted to sell us new equipment for thousands of dollars. These folks helped us figure out what was really going on and saved us a bundle. You should definitely give them your business.

It was excellent. They arrived when they promised they would be there. The guy went above and beyond and he answered all my questions, recommended a good filter for the inside of the house for the air conditioner. Above and beyond, he just got the service call, very helpful.

They came promptly when they said they would both for the estimate and install.  During the half-day long installation process, they were quiet, clean and not intrusive.  Their price was attractive compared to other bids, but note that the figure cited includes a $650 "Cool Homes" rebate from KCPL if you use it for comparison.  We've only had the new unit for two weeks but it's been working hard and perfectly during this string of 100+ degree days.  We've had no reason to call City Wide back.

Very positive experience.  When A/C went out, we had 4 different companies bid.  Two were extremely high, the other two were in the same ball park.  When it came down to it, the other company "lost" the bid due to professionalisn more than City Wide winning it.  However, we were very well pleased with our decision.   Clint showed up at the scheduled time and was extremely clean and professional the entire day.   He moved in and out of the house without commotion and went above and beyond to make sure the dogs did not get out.  The only thing I did not like was the pricing.  It's all a lump sum price and is not broken down into labor by the hour.  I would prefer to know what I'm paying for the unit and the price/hour for labor.  I realize these companies need to make a profit, but I'd like to see a little more transparancy in this department. 

They’ve been very good. Instead of having to replace a unit, they’ve always been able to repair things. It wasn’t looking good but they were able to send someone out that is more experienced and he figured out that I only needed a valve replaced. Recently when I didn’t have heat, I called at 9 AM and they were here by noon. In August, I had a party planned but my AC went out. They took care of everything; they are very attentive that way. Their price seems reasonable and they appear to be honest. They work to get the life out of your unit even though they sell systems. They are very punctual and the owner is very good about calling and telling you what is going on and when they think they can get out.

They are very prompt and do good cleanup. The people I dealt with are very good. They are personable and I trust my largest investment and my life with the heating and cooling people.

I've been using them for about 15 years. They installed our heating and a/c units about 12 years ago. They are always prompt and courteous. They remind you when you miss an annual maintenance. Their prices are competitive.

MAINTENANCE WORK IS EXCELLENT. THE SERVICE PERSON IS EXTREMELY CAPABLE, HELPFUL AND HAS SERVICED THE UNITS FOR 15 YEARS, TWO TIMES A YEAR.

THE FIRST VISIT WAS SCHEDULED IMMEDIATELY, BUT DID NOT TOTALLY FIX THE PROBLEM. I DID, HOWEVER, APPRECIATE THEIR WILLINGNESS TO MAKE A RETURN VISIT AND TOTALLY FIX THE PROBLEM AT NO EXTRA CHARGE.

ON TIME AND PUNCTUAL.

THEY DO A WONDERFUL JOB OF TAKING CARE OF MY HEATING & A/C. I HAVE USED THEM FOR MANY YEARS AND HAVE NOT HAD ONE BREAKDOWN OF EQUIPMENT. THAT IS VERY GOOD SINCE MY FURNACE IS OVER 20 YEARS OLD! THEY ARE ALWAYS COURTEOUS AND SPEND PLENTY OF TIME WITH ME TO ANSWER MY QUESTIONS. THEY DON'T TRACK IN MUD AND ALWAYS CLEAN UP AFTER THEMSELVES. THE MAN THAT SCHEDULES THE APPOINTMENTS IS COURTEOUS AND THEY TRY TO ARRANGE YOUR TIME WHEN IT SUITS YOU. IT IS A FAMILY RUN COMPANY AND THEY DO THEIR BEST.
