Century Roofing

Overall everything went well and as close to planned as possible. I was very impressed by the coordinated effort between all of the companies who worked on this project. I appreciated that Marty came by to do a final walk through to make sure I was happy with the final product before payment was expected.

Overall they did a fast job on everything. When they were trying to get the dormer work done while we were having all of the rain in June, they stay one night till 10:00 to get it done. Sure enough it rained the next day and i was happy to have it done!

At first the weather was uncooperative, but once we had a dry day, Marty got up on my roof to run a water test to see exactly why my old roof was leaking where it was. He took the time to make sure the specific problem was addressed correctly and thoroughly explained it all to me. He presented his estimate in a very professional way and took the time to explain in detail and answer all my questions. Naturally with roofing work weather is always an overriding factor, and with all the rain we were experiencing, the first day the roofers could start work on my roof was a Thursday. I expressed my concerned to Marty that we had already scheduled a party at our house for that weekend, and therefore I needed the work to be completed - or at least the dumpster removed - by the weekend. In response, Marty sent over a huge crew of workers who worked diligently all day until dusk on Thursday and finished the entire job on Friday. They cleaned up every scrap of their materials before leaving my house both days, and my roof looked beautiful for the party! Even though the weather was hot and muggy and therefore not pleasant, all the roofers seemed to work attentively the whole time they were at my house. They all did a great job, but the true stand out was Marty. He was thoroughly knowledgeable, professional, responsive, and personable. At one point he even called me while he was out of town for a Mother's Day get away in order to touch base about the schedule for my roofing work. Very dedicated! I will recommend Century Roofing to my friends.

Marty came out and gave us a bid and answered a bunch of questions for us. He came out several more times with samples and more information that we requested. Once the work was contracted, they started right away. The work was all complete in 2 days. They did an outstanding job, and their prices were competitive. We had 3 other bids and decided to go with Century because of the thorough explanations and price. I would recommend to a friend.

Very competitive bid. Brian said to call him any time with questions. Company familiar with Leawood guidelines, codes and inspections. Workers arrived on time and began working at the allowed start time 8am. Worked unitl dark and almost had the roof done in one day. Finished the by noon the next day to beat the incoming rain. Cleanup of site was thorough and fast. Roof looks great!

Century was thorough and professional, provided me with copies of all estimate documents, and promised to start work as soon as the materials arrived (they arrived in 1 week) and we had a decent day (no snow, >30 degrees, etc. - the winter has been brutal). Two weeks after the estimate, a large crew worked from dawn to dusk removing the old roof and applying the new. The correct equipment arrived, the shingles were the correct type and color, the crew worked straight through the day and 1/2 of the next in order to take advantage of the weather. What is wonderful is that there were no 'issues', as in coordination of type and color of shingles, and work performed. We love the roof, appreciate the excellent work by the crew, and are very impressed with Century Roofing and Kyle - who was our company contact. A small adjustment to one piece of trim was made within one week of installation of the roof. I really can't say enough about this company and Kyle - I've never received such efficient and effective customer service on any project.

Century Roofing gave me a good estimate that was lower than the others I had contacted. They honored the $300 off Angies List coupon and even reroofed my garden shed for free! The new roof looks great and I would definitely use them again.

Great experience. We contacted them, they sent an employee to assess the roof and we scheduled the new one to be installed. The process was very quick and they did a great job of cleaning up.

Went great. Timely, clean and overall very professional. It only took one day for them to complete all tasks, cleaned up my yard and swept for nails. Outstanding!

A friend recommended that I talk to Chad Amis up at Century Roofing, and when I contacted him, he was obliging in answering any questions I had and said he'd be buy to take a look at my roof the next day. When he showed up, he took a tour of the roof, showing me the problems the hail caused to my roof and explained what it would take to repair it, we had a friendly chat about the fickle midwest weather and he handed me an estimate that I was surprised and excited to see was reasonable compared to most other roofers that had "flooded" our neighborhood that week. I took their bid and a short time later, the guys were on my roof in full force all day to complete the task. Chad came back and walked through what they had done, to make sure I was satisfied with their work, which I was.

It went great. They worked around our schedule. We had no problems. It was covered by insurance and well within range of what the insurance would pay

We used an unusual roofing material. It took a little longer because of the synthetic material. But, all in all we are pleased.

We were very pleased and we have referred them to others.

I called Century about replacing them, and was told that I would be called soon. I didnt hear anything for a few days, and so I called back and was told to wait for a week to 10 days. At that point, he just showed up without calling in advance, and without a ridge cap, because they were no longer making it and they would have to hunt down one. I have called yet again to see what's going on, and still am awaiting a returned call.

They had to pull both layers off and replace it with a 50 yr roof. They brought about 17 guys with them and they did the job in about 4 hours.

Great, they were fast workers, cleaned up all the old shingles and did not leave any old nails on the ground that could puncture car tires. Were careful not to park their equipment next to my expensive cars. Workers were polite, never even asked to use my bathroom. Work was done in less than a week, and I have a large 6 bedroom split level ranch with a very high roof on the west side. Everything went perfect, the Project Manager named Mike was very informative and professional. Great job!

The home was re-roofed in October 2007. The roofing crew threw old roofing material off the home that hit our white vinyl siding on all sides of the house leaving black marks. Instead of using a cleaner to try and remove these marks the crew tried to cover them up with white spray paint. A large awning that was over the front door of the home was also damaged during the roofing process from materials being thrown down and hitting one corner of it. Gutter guards that were in our gutters fitting nicely in place prior to the roofing process had been removed and never completely put back. Most were left tossed on the ground bent and damaged. Metal window casings had been knocked loose from the roofing material hitting them and they were left hanging that way. Metal window trim around our upper window dormers had been bent upwards and left in that position. When we pointed this out to them the way they chose to fix it was to hammer roofing nails through them, which looked terrible and could be seen while standing in front of the house. We have tried every possible way to deal with Century Roofing. They were initially apologetic, admitted fault to all of the above, stated that their crew had admitted fault and assurred us they were not a business that did things this way. They told us not to worry, they would take care of all the damage they created - which is all that we have ever wanted them to do. It is now 15 months later and Century Roofing thinks that because they have taken care of SOME of their damage they don't need to take care of ALL of their damage! They have been belligerent and unwilling to address the remainder of the damage issues other than to threaten legal action towards us. We cannot even begin to document all that we have been through with Century Roofing in this space however, we would be very happy to provide you with all correspondence and pictures we have to reflect the type of company they are. Thank you.

Good job. The guys worked all day with no breaks. Good clean up job, and good looking roof job.

They showed up when they were supposed to, good supervision. They did a good job; it looks great! Their product was good. Their initial contact was good. They were the only ones who brought samples. We had a couple other bids, and I had to show Century's samples to the other companies. They provided us with the materials to decide what we wanted. Their clean up was good too. They were head and shoulders above the rest. Their price was the cheapest. Overall, very pleased.

It was amazing. They took 2 days to do the complete job including the clean up. Everything went great. They sent over a crew of about 8-10 roofers and each one knew what job they were responsible for. It was a good experience and they did a great job. We have had many compliments on their work. Mike the estimator followed up with an inspection to ensure all was proper and that I was pleased. Great clean up from a messy job! And they wanted no money up front--just wait till the job is done!

Called me back in a reasonable time. Then when they arrived , covered up all my ground with tarps. The guys brought the shingles with a big truck with a boom. Were very careful of my trees as they maneuvered it up my driveway. Tore off and put in the vents and got the shingles back on all in one day. They even ran their magnet over the back yard for me 2 times to make sure my dogs wouldn't get nails in their feet. Very polite and asked me if anything else needed doing before the end of the day. The salesman returned the next day to check it off. Then he had a different contractor come out and put my soffit vents in for me. These people were very good. I'm happy. My salesmans name was Chad Amis. Nice guy.

The job went very well. They finished the roof in three days and finished the guttering in one more day. They cleaned up all the mess and Chad did a final inspection and checked to be sure that we were happy with the job. We were very happy with their work.

Chad the salesman was very knowledgeable about all the roofing product available, they did the work in about four days and the clean up was OK. He put us in contact with D.J. who handle the metal works, as we needed new copper on the bay window and cupola (this is not included in the $17,850).
