Furniture - Sales
After reviewing the website for the background and the manor in which the low priced mattresses were obtained, we took our daughter to purchase a mattress at the Overland Park store.
The salesperson assured my wife that these were new and that the mattress we would get would be just like floor model my daughter tested, but may have a different material pattern.
We picked up the mattress and boxspring set around 4:30 pm Sunday and both were wrapped in plastic. When we arrived home and unwrapped the package there were a few visible scuff marks on the edges and as I went to set it up, I noticed an area that was damaged as if the corner had been bent and springs inside seemed damaged. As we further examined the mattress there was a stain on the top, appeared to be a faint water mark around 2 feet in diameter and that area seemed to be compressed more than the rest of the mattress. The material on top was pilling as a used mattress might.The boxspring looks dirty as well. I cannot believe that this is a new mattress. Way too much damage to be new.
