A few weeks after Braden Roofing did my roof I saw water stains on the ceiling in my NE room. Braden came out and fixed the leak. No further issues for a few years, but recently water damage was noted around the chimney upstairs on the dormer part of the roof. I filed an insurance claim and called a few roofers for estimates. Insurance adjuster said the flashing around the chimney was not properly installed possibly causing the leak. The roofer told me Braden roofers had used nails on the shingles all over the dormer and showed me photos. He said nails should never be used on a flat roof and was not up to code. I called Braden Roofing and the office manager told me my warranty had expired. I told her this was not a warranty issue but a complaint that the job had not been done up to code in the first place but wanted to give company an opportunity to make it right before filing a complaint. She denied they ever put nails on a flat roof. I told her I had photos and she hung up on me.

They did a good job, they were not cheap.  I had a leak in the roof and the owner of the business came out to do the inspection and he fixed the leak while he was there and then we started negotiations for getting a new roof after that.  So he had good customer service.  The price was pretty high in my estimation but I haven't had any roofs done recently so I might be out of date on it, how much it was.  He and his crew did a good job and they did some extra work for us while they were working on the roof.  They capped the chimney to the fireplace because we had been having problems with raccoons crawling down the chimney.

It went well. At first I thought maybe the pipe boot had just been repaired, and not replaced like the contract said would be done. I contacted the company, and asked if Ben ( who was not the person sent to repair it) could come back to the house and look at the work. The company sent Ben out to the house that same day, and Ben showed me the original picture, and then the picture now so that I could see the work had been properly done. This made me feel a lot better. I would not hesitate to hire Braden Roofing again, or refer them to my friends and family.

I originally selected Braden Roofing because I had noticed the very high quality of their work done on my neighbor?s house.  Since then I?ve had the pleasure of working with Braden Roofing for several years.  The company most recently made a major repair to my roof.

Braden Roofing is owned and operated by Kevin Castaner, one of the most honest, ethical and competent business people I have ever worked with.  He and his employees work at the highest standard of excellence.  Their work was finished on time, all debris wasremoved and the quality of their work is absolutely superb.   Braden and his crews have earned my complete trust.

I would highly recommend Braden Roofing.

Most Sincerely,

David Guthrie

What appeared to be a small project ended-up amounting to more work than we had realized. Although the project took longer, Braden was reasonably responsive and the removal and replacement job looks good.

Owner made appointment to meet and presented information about Braden Roofing, a list of customers and comments.  After examining the condition of the roof Braden Roofing presented a quote which I thought was a fair price. Workers were punctual and efficient and did a nice job cleaning the debris.  I recommend Braden Roofing.

Braden came by punctually and diagnosed that a leak we we were having was not a roofing issue, but a window problem.
He was courteous, intelligent, and sincerely wanted to figure it out, even if it did not lead to his 'getting business.
when I need a new roof, I'll be calling him

My contractor's name was Pete, and he was very easy to work with and he made it pretty easy. I was happy. Whenever I got there, it was like things had been picked up pretty well. The one I spoke to in the office had been very good to work with. I am still waiting to get gutters so I really don't feel like I am done yet. I didn't make any price comparison.

On 4/29/2011 Braden Roofing replaced the roof of my home in Overland Park after a hail storm.

On 6/9/2014 a contract of sale inspection report on indicated that there was signs of mold observed in the attic. The Inspection report required "Sellers have Braden Roofing correct the attic ventilation so that conditions don't continue that are causing mold to grow."

On 6/26/2014, Braden Roofing sent an email stating: "This letter is to verify that Braden Roofing completed the repair work to alleviate mold issue in the attic..."

On 7/8/2014, Deborah Castaner of Braden Roofing, conceded via email that Deborah had previously informed both the home buyer's agent and my wife, that "if it is our fault, we will take care of it."

On 7/8/2014, Deborah Castaner of Braden Roofing offered to cover only $600 of the $1610 mold remediation cost from a certified mold remediation service provider. The $600 offer coincides with Braden's subcontractor negligence insurance coverage.

Braden Roofing justification for not covering the entire $1610 cost is that there is insufficiant documentation of fault, even though Braden Roofing was provided a contract of sale inspection report, 2 independant certified mold remediation service providers proposals all stating that the cause of mold was associated to roof installation negligence.

For me, the most significant documentation was Braden Roofing's own letter to me stating: "This letter is to verify that Braden Roofing completed the repair work to alleviate mold issue in the attic..."
Response from BRADEN ROOFING
"There are so many inaccuracies and deceptions in this report that it is difficult to even begin… Braden Roofing will ALWAYS work with customers who have good faith concerns. However, it is very difficult to work with individuals who lie and abuse the good faith process. As we will see, [Member's name removed] is a liar and a cheat. Regarding the ridge vent: Braden Roofing has found that a wider aperture on a ridge vent will sometimes allow snow to filtrate into an attic, especially if a house has inadequate intake venting. Intake venting refers to soffit vents. Soffit vents were NOT part of the original roof contract, but we did notate the recommendation to improve soffit venting at the time. [Member's name removed] chose to ignore this advice. In our experience, it is the lack of soffit vents which is a key factor in venting issues. In our desire to keep customers happy, we offered to install new soffit vents free of charge, even though this was not even part of the original contract. [Member's name removed] accepted this offer and we installed the soffit vents. You’re welcome, [Member's name removed] You’re so welcome. We also widened the ridge vent aperture free of charge. Most customers would understandably be very pleased. Not [Member's name removed] Instead, he used the opportunity to shake down Braden Roofing for mold remediation. The proposal for $1610 from the mold remediation company just didn’t look right… We smelled a rat (or was it [Member's name removed] ?) so we contacted a reputable mold expert who told us that a typical attic remediation should run closer to $600. We offered a $600 refund, even though we did not believe we were responsible for the mold problem. Investigating closer, we discovered that [Member's name removed] mold remediation company was also performing mold remediation work in the basement of the same house. About that time, [Member's name removed] real estate agent also sent us a proposal from THE SAME COMPANY that [Member's name removed] had quoted at $1610, but the (presumably undoctored) second proposal was for only $600. I must say at this point I pretty much had [Member's name removed] pegged as an opportunistic liar and cheat."

They gave us a written estimate and showed us pictures. Then an actual contractor came out to do the work. The contractor was very responsive and punctual. He gave us his number in-case we have a problem. They called back twice to make sure that we weren't having any problems and we were happy with the work.

The cost was competitive. The cleanup was very good. They got the job done in one and a half days. The crew was great. They were knowledgeable, personable, and responsible. They sent out 5 people to do the job, and then just one guy came out the next day. The owner of the company was great about working with my insurance company. I would recommend them to others.

Pete, from Braden Roofing, came punctually to give an estimate of the job and helped to problem solve on how to improve venting on this roof that had no soffits and added gutters to a hard to reach spot.  His men were also punctual and hard working.  They did an excellent job and were finished in two days.  The roof looks great.  When I wanted the plastic elbows on the guttering replaced with metal elbows he was kind enough to have that done.  The finished product is just what I had hoped.   The estimated price was midrange between the 3 estimates I got but I believe the quality of the work and the venting and the underlayment made it worth a little extra.  I appreciate a good quality product.
