APARTMENT MOVERS

This company handled a move for my daughter approximately two years ago. I was present, and we had no complaints so hired them for another move job. This time, they were rude, complained and one was borderline abusive to the other, apparently his employee. As mentioned above, this was a small, simple move other than dealing with older elevators. The movers got grease on her sofa and, of course, could not be bothered with putting the bed back together, the mirror on the dresser, etc. Of course, the actual price exceeded the estimate. Won't hire them again.

When I made the appointment I was told the movers would be there by noon on the day I was to move. They also said if I canceled the appointment after their deadline I was going to be charged a fee. After noon on the day of my appointment (Saturday) I tried calling the office to see where the movers were, but the office was closed. I eventually got a call from the mover and said he wasn't going to make it, his truck was having problems and he didn't want to push it. His suggestion was for me to call the office on Monday to schedule a new appointment. I informed him I had to be out of my apartment before that because my lease was up and asked if there was anyway he could rent a truck or borrow one, or call one of the other movers with his company to help. He basically laughed at that and wouldn't even give me the name or number of a supervisor with Apartment Movers. I felt stuck and frustrated. An hour later he called back and said he'd be there when he could.
