Since 1975 we have taken care of over 32,000 structural problems and moisture control issues. We realize that there are many companies in the area who you could choose to do business with. However, we feel as if our knowledge, experience in the industry, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service is what helps us to stand apart from everyone else.

"We hired this company because we were starting to get cracks in a basement wall that was moving slightly. The first guy, the estimator, said they would stabilize the wall and if all the drywall is taken off they will also seal the cracks while they are there. They came out early March to stabilize the wall and those guys said they will not do anything to the cracks since they were only there for the stabilization, not waterproofing since that was a separate package. Ok, no big deal we have never had any water issues so we weren't concerned, everything seemed fine. Fast forward a month and the first big rain storm- there is now water coming in from the corner of the wall they 'fixed' and another wall. We called them and they sent someone out. That guy said that's a completely separate issue, has nothing to do with the work they did. There is also now white mineral growth coming up around the bottom of the concrete footings they installed for the beams. I get that we did not hire them for water issues but that is because we didn't have any until after they did work on that wall. I hired them because I felt like they were going to treat us fairly and fix my home. I was confident that by hiring them my house would be safe and structurally sound when they were done. That ended up not the experience I had with this company. And now after spending thousands of dollars I have even more issues than I started with and will have to spend even more to fix the new problems."

A backwater valve’s purpose is to let the water flow in one direction. It works like a little door that allows water to flow freely in one direction but stops it from flowing the opposite way. A backflow preventer is meant to prevent water from leaving your system, locking out wastewater in the process. Backflow preventers are commonly used by city sewer systems to stop residential wastewater from entering the water supply.

No, it’s not safe to use a blowtorch or any open flame to thaw pipes. The intense heat can cause the pipe to burst and/or start a fire, leading to very costly damage. Instead, use safer external heating alternatives, such as heat tape, a space heater, or an infrared lamp. 

Installing a drain pipe costs about $600, ranging from $150 to $2,000, depending on the type of drain, accessibility, proximity to drain lines, and whether you’re installing new drain pipes or replacing old ones. Replacing a main drain line can cost over $2,000, whereas replacing a p-trap costs around $150 on average. Keep in mind that new water pipe installation projects are bid by fixture, like kitchen sink, toilet, or main water line. You can expect to pay $70 to $1,000 per fixture.

You can remove air from your shower pipes in a few simple steps. Turn off the water at the main water supply and open all the faucets in your home, starting with those closest to the water supply and working away from those. Let the faucets run dry, then flush all the toilets in your home until there is no more water in them. From there, turn the water supply back on and let it flow for 10 to 15 minutes until the sputtering stops. To finish, turn off your faucets and flush your toilets in the reverse order.

The likely culprit is an air lock somewhere in your pipes. This is especially true if the warm water upstairs is accompanied by a decline in water flow. Other causes of this issue include frozen pipes, leaks, damaged supply lines, and more. There’s a simple DIY fix to try for air locks: Turn the hot water and cold water faucets on for a minute, then turn off the cold water and then the hot water. Repeat this process two or three times.
