 + -1 moreWe booked Globe through their sales rep Josh. He gave us an estimate for about $2300 to move from Grinnell, Iowa, to the East coast, with deliveries in New York and Connecticut. Josh indicated that they would call on Friday, June 24, to confirm the date the movers would come (Monday-Wednesday, June 27-29). We got the runaround from them all weekend. Then, Monday morning we got a call that they weren't sure they'd be able to make that window at all, and that we could have our deposit back if we wanted. They also said they could call later in the day to update us. They called back later to say that they could come on Tuesday, but we got a call a little later that the second drop-off location would be $300 instead of $100, and that there would be added costs for tolls, etc. While Josh is a smooth operator, the dispatch staff were very hostile to us. This company is running a classic bait-and-switch scam on people they have in a tough situation, so be warned.
