I called this company due to my fridge quite working.  He showed up when he said he would.  After looking at the appliance he stated that the compressor was shot and it would cost me $550 to fix.  I couldn't afford that and I had a spare fridge I could use instead.  He was very polite and offered to take my broken one to the dump but I would have to pay for the haul off and draining of the freon.  He informed me if I took it to the dump myself I would end up paying the same amount anyway.  So I thought it was very nice of him.  Of course I paid him not only for the house call but for the Haul Off as well for a total of $110.  $65 for the house call and $45 for the haul off.  He was supposed to take the fridge that day but for some reason couldn't.  So Over Easter Weekend it sat in my kitchen smelling up the house.  I had some friends help me move it the garage and move my spare one back in. 
While it was out in the garage, I took the wire baskets out of the broken fridges freezer to use in my deep freeze.  I
had them sitting out of the way behind some old stuff in my garage until I had the chance to organize my deep freeze.  When he showed up to pick up the old fridge to take it to the dump, I stepped out of the garage to check on my daughter.  When I came back he had the fridge loaded and ready to go.  I thanked him and he left.  After he left I went to grab the wire baskets to put in the deep freezer and they were gone.  I could not find them anywhere.  I had placed them way in the back of my garage behind some things so they were out of the way.  He would have had to move a table and step over a few things to get to them.  The thought of some stranger might have gone through my things upset me.  I called him and asked if he had in fact seen them.  He said yes and told me he took them because they were from the fridge.  I asked why that mattered if he was taking the fridge to the dump.  He then claimed that he BOUGHT the fridge from me and was going to fix it and sell it.  I reminded him I paid him...not the other way around.  I PAID for him to take it to the dump.  After a 5-10 min conversation and he was very rude and defensive...I got nowhere...he got my money, and my fridge and there was nothing I could do about it.  In in reality...I just got swindled.  
Way to take advantage of a single mom...hope your proud of yourself.  

The job that Appliance Medic did went just fine and I would recommend them and use their services again in the future. 

He found one for exactly the price that I was looking for. He showed up when he said he would and he installed it in a timely manner. My friend is extremely pleased with the work that he did and so am I.

Was very polite, punctual. Did not have the correct part to repair, but returned 2 days later and fixed oven very quickly. Very willing to make house calls evenings and weekends.

He is who we call and trust. The last service I hired him for was to replace a filter. He insisted that the service was of no charge. Although kind of him, I asked how much that service usually is so I could pay him anyway and he advised and requested I make the check payable to his GPO Ministry fund.
