I say a fair price because Jessie sat down with me and asked me how much I could afford, new or used parts, paint the entire truck or just the repair, etc. The estimate Jessie came up with was 10% lower than his competition.
I said a reasonable amount of time because Jessie provides a loner car until your own car is fixed and his reputation for restoration keeps him backlogged……similar to a restaurant with outstanding food always has a full parking lot.
I came here from Eastern Washington last month to work at the local power plant, so I had no idea where to go to get my truck repaired. Triple AAA dropped off my rig at the local approved auto body shop, but I couldn’t find any reviews on-line.
I went to Angie’s List and Google to find five star reviews for Thurston’s Autobody in Emporia. I called up the owner, Jessie answered, I told him of my situation and after just 5 minutes of talking with him, I knew that my truck would be in good hands.
Jessie is from the old school…..the kind of person you can trust..…check out his listing

You will find a phone number for normal hours, after hours and weekends, and even a toll free number if you are from out of town….and if you are truly in need…… he will go out of his way to get your vehicle back on its feet and you and your loved ones on your way…..just read the reviews on Angie’s List and/or Google
That is why I didn’t mind when Jessie said it might be three weeks until he could get my truck repaired….well, he did it in only two weeks….and I couldn’t be happier. The work Jessie performed on my 10 year old Deer Slaying Truck was absolutely amazing……he is a true artist in his trade….. I swear my Ford Ranger looks as new as the day I drove it off the lot back in 2004 for what Jessie considered a fair price and I considered an absolute bargain.
And I also don’t want to forget mentioning the better half of Jessie, his wife Beth. She is usually at the shop taking care of the customers and the paperwork many times late into the night and on the weekends.
Thank-you again so very much Beth and Jessie….it was a pleasure to meet you and much appreciation for all the hard work and TLC you provided so I can enjoy my truck another 10 years and 200,000 miles.
P.S. Please take my advice if you are driving in Kansas, get yourself a brush guard and a deer whistle mounted to your bumper….If it is too late for that….I hope you found my review helpful :)
When I arrived the individual came right out to review the damage and provided an estimate right away. I gave them the green light and they ordered the parts. I brought my car back in after a week and they told me it would be ready on Friday. And I picked it up on Friday as promised.
They also washed and I think waxed my car, so it looks great. And they vacuumed the floors all. They even let me know I was a quart low on oil.
