NARROW TREE NURSERY

We assumed that the trees would be guaranteed for a year (and according to their current website site they offer a one year warranty on all trees planted by the nursery and a six month warranty for trees planted by someone other than the nursery). We called Ben several times in the fall advising him that the trees were not looking good, they were turning brown and dropping pine needles and we asked him to come out and look at them which he finally did. Ben suggested that we fertilize the trees, which we did; he also questioned if we were watering them correctly, my husband had installed a drip line system so we knew they were in fact being watered correctly which was verified by another person in landscaping. At no time were we advised that the trees were not guaranteed either prior to purchase of after installation. We lost three trees over the winter; we contacted Ben again in April to let him know we were giving them one more opportunity to correct this situation and replace the dead trees; he apologized that he did not make it clear but they were not under warranty, and said we had nothing in writing that said they would carry a warranty. He advised us that the trees would have been more expensive with any other company. When we originally purchased the trees they looked a little stressed but Ben said it was because they had been balled up for so long, they would be fine once they got in the ground. The pricing on the trees was good but at no time was the lack of warranty on the trees disclosed, had it been we would have purchased fewer trees. Getting a bargain price is not worth it if the trees die since you are out the price of the trees and the cost of planting them. Ben has received pictures of the trees so he knows that at least 3 of the trees are dead, but he still will not warranty the trees. We originally had a horrible time trying to get them out to plant the trees in the first place since he said he had a huge job he was finishing up so we were patient. We are very unhappy that we have been left with at least three dead trees and he just says its our problem now.
