Called to find out if repair could be done, what the probable cause was (I suspected by doing online research), and when work could be done. Very few authorized Samsung repair shops in this area. I described problem, he confirmed my suspicions of the probability of the problem and solution, and gave me an estimate over the phone assuming that was the answer. Was told I could bring it in that day. Had to take it to his repair shop, about 20 miles away, which turned out yo be his home. Worked out of home due to health issues. Confirmed problem, and then repaired it on the spot - took less than 30 minutes! Cost was exactly what was quoted. While the situation was a little strange, the repair work was excellent, professional, fast and was even given a quick history of Samsung and instructions on proper viewing settings.
