That's why I am offering absolutely free estimates to checkout your tv. This is carry in only at my location because most modern sets cannot be repaired in the home anyway on the 1st trip. Hi, my name is Ross and I am a degreed Electonic Tech in Electronic servicing. I have been repairing sets since the early 80's. I have a fully equipped repair shop at my home in De Soto Kansas. I am experienced in working on most all models of tv's including LCD, Plasma, DLP, CRT Projection, and direct view. I have found that most modern TV's that can be repaired usually have defective capacitor problems. These sets can usually be repaired for about $50-$100. My goal is to repair the board and not replace it. Example: A customer came to me last week with a 40" LG LCD that the picture would not appear for 30 minutes. Her husband wanted to scrap it. I fixed it for her for $50 by replacing 4 capacitors in the power supply. Repaired in 1 day and customer was extremely pleased since they now had more money to spend on XMAS.
