Rates Contracting

Bad. Called the contractor because he was highly recommened from a family source he had completed a few jobs for. His answer to my phone call was a plain "Hello", and questioned me as to who I was to be calling him. I was calm and did not respond to his hostile mannerism, explained that I was trying to reach his company. His manner did not change but finally asked what I wanted. I requested to get information on his specialties since he had many services to choose from. I needed a replacement sliding door but also needed windows replaced. Based on the time that a different conractor would be coming. He was more interested in me having signed a contract, the answer was no. He decided he was available to give me a quote on 3 different services; concrete, sliding door, and windows that needed to be replaced. He took control of the conversation, was quick to explain his reason as to why he was the most qualified person to complete all 3 jobs. I gave him a chance to decide when it was best for us to meet at my residence. He took all my information and stated he will reach me prior to arriving. Three days later, he did not show up or did a courtesy call. I called twice, his voicemail was the only response I could get. I decided not to waste my time leaving a message. Because, he repeated my contact information back to me when setting up the appointment. I knew he could contact me. This is the reason why I thought he chose not to deal with me for reasons he only knows or I may have called on a wrong day. I would have appreciated if he had decided not to do business with me or had other responsibilities to accomplish. No services where performed based on the lack of communication and professionalism.
