TODD ROOFING CO INC

He gave us a bid and since he was a neighbor we decided to go with him. When he showed up he wanted to bill us for $2,000.00 more than the bid. I told him what he bid it at and he said that he had some medical problems and should not have bid it at that. I told him that I would get someone else then. He finally agreed to do the roof for the price he quoted. So they started the roof and all was fine until I got home to see the mess. Shingles & nails everywhere in my yard and on my decks! Cigarette butts were all over my yard and we do NOT smoke so this is such a nasty thing to have to clean up! They had broken some siding trim next to the roof. They did repair that but did not paint it, so we had to do that part. They said that they found some bad plywood and had to replace it but couldn't show it to me. I think they actually damage the sheet and had to replace it before roofing that area. Then when all was done they cleaned up they didn't do a very good job. To this day I am still picking up shingles and nails out of my flower beds and yard. So its all done and when the first rains came my roof didn't leak but when I would go out the front door the rain poured off the roof and right down on my head. I called him and he came out to see what was wrong. He told me that I had purchased cheap guttering so that wasn't his fault! This guttering had been on the house for years and had worked just fine before he re-roofed the house! I had another roofer out and they told me that he put on the wrong drip edge (shorter so it cost less) so it would not direct the rain into the guttering and they had bent some of the guttering away from the house probably when they were removing our old roof. So I called him back and he said that he put on the correct drip edge and he wasn't going to do anything about it for us. So I had rain pouring on my head until I could get another roofer to come out and fix the problem. I had to pay for new drip edge and the labor to install it, which I feel that Todd Roofing should have had to pay. He totally ignored my requests to pay for it, so of course I paid the new roofer and just made sure that all my neighbors and anyone else I could talk to knew about this problem that I had with him! Please Please Please do not have this company on your list as one of your recommended roofers!!
