Project Melton

Project Melton has been my General Contractor for years. From replacing water heaters to 20K bathroom remodels the project total price is always listed along with details around installment payments based on project milestones. Defined processes exist for changes and he provides realistic project dates based on the situation to do the job correctly. As an amateur handyman, I have an understanding of what it takes to do the work, I choose Project Melton because they have the skill and years of experience to do the job correctly. Attached is a picture from recent project (2018) of a bathroom remodel for the kids.

Called Craig to see if he could help with repairing the subfloor in a second floor water-closet.  The toilet had not been installed correctly when the house was built and had been slowly dripping into the subfloor and nothing much was left of the original flange. Craig called back and quoted repair costs and setup a time for repair.  On the day of the repair, Craig showed up, explained what he was going to do and set to work.  I liked how he kept me informed at each stage, showed what he had removed, what needed to replaced in the plumbing to rebuild, added reinforcement bracing, and kept everything clean and tidy (or as much as you can as you are tearing up subfloor).  In the end, repaired subfloor, flooring back in place, and a new toilet installed all looked and worked as we needed.  We will using Project Melton for future projects.  

Fantastic. Craig gave me an estimate and that's how much the final cost was. He's very responsive to emails and texts. He was very punctual and he suggested different places to put the wall safe. He also cleaned up when he was done. We are very happy with the final installation.

FANTASTIC! We could not be happier. Craig responded quickly to my first call and within a week had the job done. He had a few men with him and they were all polite and friendly. It was a messy, messy job, but when we got home there was NO dust to be found. They really did an exceptional job. They were efficient, but we can tell they didn't cut any corners.

We met with Craig Melton in December and asked for a proposal to improve three rooms.  Guest bath needed some updates and new plumbing.  Master bath felt small and cramped and had a useless triangle tub and old shower.  The kitchen needed updating to add some color and smooth flow.
Craig came back with a proposal that was higher than we thought was needed but working through it with him, his ideas had great merit.  He was patient with us with us and the cost gave us a more finished look.
Craig met our time challenge.  We would be gone for February so we pushed to get all decisions and choices made before we left.  Our friends were incredulous that we would  let Craig and his team to have open access to the house for a month.  It worked out great!   We didn't have to live in the mess and they didn't have us hanging over them.
We received daily updates with pictures and phone calls for decisions to be made as worked progressed.  Craig was on top of the work every day.  He has the patience of Job and is a great out of the box thinker.  When we returned and first saw the finished product we were blown aware even though we saw pictures almost daily.  All three rooms were more than expected in visual impact.  The colors and finishes were great and the master bath's new floor plan added great space without changing outside walls.
 We learned that trust works.
Let the contractors use his/her style eye as they have seen  so many more solutions.
Worry about the price and be honest and what you can afford but don't get hung up with first set of costs because a good contractor will work with you.
We are ecstatic with the finished project.  We are having Project Melton back for some other projects.  Call them...they do everything!

We hired Project Melton to remodel our foyer entryway and living room. It included demolition, carpet removal, framing of a closet, drywall patching, installation of laminate floors, installation of tile, trim work, and painting. I had some very specific wishes and I am very particular about details. Craig (the owner) handled my special requests with ease. All of his guys were pleasant, worked hard, and arrived on time. They finished ahead of schedule and stayed on budget. Craig is a very straightforward and knowledgable guy that I wouldn't hesitate to use in the future.

My experience with him went very well. I had a good experience with him. He was a general contractor and he contacted a painter and a drywall person. He was very good and conscientious. He came back and checked the work. I didn't get any other price and didn't compare him.

I have worked with Craig before. He is very professional and thorough.

We haven't had enough rain to know if the problem is fixed. Craig found some problems with missing mortar that we hadn't noticed around a sill plate which he sealed. Hopefully we won't have anymore problems. He was quick to get the repairs accomplished. Most contractors don't want to take on small jobs (Craig never mentioned this and was happy to do the work.) We paid quite a bit for the repair, but Craig is easy to work with.

Craig Melton did the estimate and the majority of the work. He was very professional and had good attention to detail. His estimate was detailed, and he was easy to work with in agreeing to changes to the final work to be done. He did the work when he said he was going to, and was good about calling to let me know his schedule day to day. We were really pleased with the work and end product.

Craig promptly returned my phone call on the same day, and he was able to visit our house the same afternoon. He assessed our needs, offered some advice and solutions, and demonstrated how to do the repair so we could perform the task ourselves in the future. Even though we only needed a window pane replaced, he was knowledgable, efficient, and careful. Overall, Craig was very friendly, honest, and professional. We will call him for any future home repairs or upgrades.

Craig and the crew came out when they said, and were finished when they said they would be. He was very professional, easy to work with and anxious to please.

He came out when he said he would. I was not able to be there when he came so he left me a note to let me know the project was completed. He did a very nice job. Also, when he was up doing the gutters he noticed that I needed an end cap. He let me know on the note of his recommendation for me and personalized it to me.

He's a fantastic problem-solver, good with his estimates, and fair when things need something unexpected. He goes the extra mile, studying the best solution for repair work. We highly recommend him.

Craig is a great handyman and more importantly a good person. He is honest and punctual. I have had Craig work on my last house as we were moving out to fix up some items from our punch list. He was the first person we thought of when we moved into our new house to help us make it our home. He's been back multiple times since we moved in and he has been more than willing to work around our crazy schedules.

I would recommend Project Melton without hesitation.

He's very polite and informative. His prices are fair, and his work is great. It's very convenient working with him, because he's so flexible with scheduling. He is also knowledgable enough to give advice for different situations, and I trust the advice he gives. I've used him for three separate jobs, and I plan to continue using him in the future.

Craig and his team did a fantastic job finishing my 3d floor loft. With a project this size there will always be bumps in the road, but Craig handled them all with creativity and professionalism. He did a great job coordinating the different aspects of the project and working within my schedule. I trusted Craig and his crew enough that I gave him a key so they could come and go as needed. I was continually impressed with how hard he works and the quality of workmanship. Craig enjoys what he does, and that shows in his work.

They did a fine job and I did not have to micro manage. They cleaned up their mess when the job was completed. Very professional.
