It is with great disappointment that I leave this review. I have been a 25-year, loyal customer of this family-owned business. They have done body and tire work, as well as regular maintenance on both of my European cars. I have also recommended their services to many friends for two decades. I had always received excellent work and fair prices until today. NWF performed a brief inspection (10-15 mins) of my oil drain plug and about 45 additional minutes changing the oil in a small import that holds less than 7 quarts of oil. I was charged $50 for the brief inspection and another $191.47 for the oil change, for a total charge of $241.74 for one hour of actual labor ($150 of the total was labor; the remainder was parts, tax). Dreyer and Reinbold performs oil changes on the same vehicle for $130, to put the pricing into perspective. Given my relationship with NWF, I was shocked to be charged at all for the brief inspection, but in fairness I was willing to overlook it. To learn that I was charged $60 more than the expensive dealer pricing for the oil change (and substantially more than I have ever paid previously) was most disappointing. When I questioned the charges, I was advised that $191.47 is the current rate for a synthetic oil change using less than 7 quarts of oil on my vehicle. I subsequently called Euro Motorworks, which specializes in servicing European imports, and was quoted $125 including tax for a synthetic oil change for the same vehicle. Needless to say, it seems clear that either I was purposely overcharged or NWF's present rates are excessive. I am very troubled by this experience, particularly given my very long history with this provider.

This company's great Angie's List reputation in well-deserved. I like that you work directly with the person making the repairs. Aaron definitely knows his stuff and was able to find and address an alignment issue when the dealership was not. He thoroughly explained the issue and made several tweaks to ensure the alignment was perfect.

This was a walk-in job. We had a deadline to get this done and Kevin had the right answer at the right price.
As promised, we came back a few hours later and it was done.

Phone calls were promptly returned. Company asked about my goals for car and service then gave me the options of repair or replacement and separated repair recommendations into necessary for safety and would be nice to improve ride or prevent future alignment issues
Everything was excellent. Will use this company anytime I have alignment and frame issues

They specialize in BMWs and I have one, so that is why I started taking our car there and then my van there too. It is a very nice place; it is family owned and I think it has been around for a while. They do any sort of general mechanic work and I know that one of the guys there does anything with tires. There is not anything that I dislike about them. I trust them so I do not feel like they are going to take advantage of me when I take my car there and tell them that I do not know what is wrong. They are always honest with me. If they feel like I do not need things fixed right away, they will tell me that; instead of saying that I need to fix it right now as it might break down tomorrow. They always say that things will be okay if I keep going with it; I really like that about them. If I could give an A+ to their company, I would.

The GM dealer/service shop where I had taken my Saturn Aura since purchasing it there told me last week that I needed an alignment, and 4 new tires as the current tires were badly worn and and quot;choppedand quot;, and gave me a printed analysis of uneven wear and and quot;chopand quot; on my tires. I first took the car to Discount Tire, who determined that only 2 of the tires needed to be replaced, and they referred me to C.A.R. Clinic in Westfield for alignment. C.A.R. Clinic determined that my car had a frame or suspension problem. They referred me to Northwest.
Aaron at Northwest looked over my car and several print outs I had received from the GM dealership over the last several years. I thought he was very thorough in his questions about the problems I have had with the car during that time. It was determined that the car had a suspension problem, and Aaron discussed the options with me. I believe that GM knew I had this problem but didn't want to deal with it while the car was under warranty. Aaron said that it was not an emergency situation, and did not pressure me into choosing any of the options. I decided to go ahead with all of the repairs, since I know that the suspension problems will continue to affect my tires and void the warranty on my new tires.
I am very satisfied with the work that was performed, and would return to Northwest for future service. I do not understand the reviewer who gave them a and quot;Cand quot; because he was charged for a diagnosis on his truck and no problems were found. You have to pay a doctor for an office visit if you go in for a diagnosis, even if they don't find anything wrong with you. I value everyone's time, and completely understood when Aaron told me up front that there would be a charge for diagnosing the problem with my car. He did a thorough job of figuring out what was wrong with my car, and I would highly recommend him.

We needed to make an appointment to get some work completed on our Range Rover - they were able to get us in within a week of our initial call. We had a 4 wheel alignment check and they set the front toe. They replaced the right front hub and wheel bearing along with replacing and assembling a new draglink and tie rod. They are a bit of a drive for us but well worth it to get the job done right the first time.

I first called Northwest Frame and Alignment to tell them the story of previously taking my truck to the Ford service shop down the street. I explained they drove the truck and told me they could not even feel the vibration, and yet still charged me 75 dollars anyways. I let them know that I didn't approve of being charged for nothing which is why I was calling in advance to ensure it wouldn't happen again. I was told that Northwest Frame and Alignment does much more specialty work and they would be able to figure out the issue causing the vibration. So I made an appointment. I dropped my truck off for an appointment and then came back later that day to be told that the source of the vibration could not be found. The technician rambled off a bunch of things they attempted to check, but it all really comes down to them charging me $56.00 to provide me with nothing. I am sick of mechanics ripping me off and this is another example in a long list. What happened to the days when someone was proud of their work and if they didn't do anything, they wouldn't charge anything.

I had been in an accident which damaged the right front of my car. I felt it was pulling slightly so I took the car to Northwest for an alignment. They assessed the condition of the car and determined no alignment was necessary. They advised me to drive the car and report if I felt there were any problems. There have been none.

THE BUSINESS IS A FAMILY-OWNED ONE AND THE TECHNICIANS HAVE MANY YEARS OF EXPERIENCE. WE KNEW IN ADVANCE THAT THE TECHNICIAN WOULD NOT HAVE TIME TO WORK ON THE BRAKES IF IT WERE NECESSARY, BUT HE DID CHECK AND REPORT ON THEM. (THEY DID NOT NEED REPAIR.) THE WORK WAS COMPLETED IN THE PROMISED TIME. THE TECHNICIAN EVEN NOTED AND TOLD US THAT ONE OF OUR WHEELS WAS BENT AND SUGGESTED A SOLUTION. AT TIME OF PAYMENT WE ASKED MANY QUESTIONS AND RECEIVED A LOT OF INFORMATION IN A VERY PLEASANT AND HELPFUL MANNER. WE SHALL GO BACK FOR MORE HELP!
