Dave was prompt efficient and professional. He did quality work for less than he originally quoted. Plan to use him again.

We had several porch posts that were rotting due to water pooling on the concrete floor.
Dave suggested a way to improve the drainage, and replaced the rotting posts, along with the footers laying along the concrete floor. He also rescreened the entire porch and painted everything.
After our recent heavy rains, we did not have the water pooling like we used to! Success!

On July 29th, I called and left a message with Dave Milender asking if he could replace a broken handle to our sliding glass patio door. He returned the call quickly and said he would be out later that same day to look at the handle. He came as promised and as there was no visible markings as to the maker of the door, he took the handle's measurements and said he would see if he could find a suitable replacement. He asked if there were any other repairs needed at this time and we indicated we had 2 doors to the outside whose weather stripping needed replacement. He took those measurements and said he would purchase the new weather strips. He called us the following morning and said after checking multiple stores, he believed he had found a handle that would work and he would come out later that afternoon to make the repairs.
He returned as scheduled, found the new handle was a perfect fit and quickly replaced the broken one. He then removed both doors, replaced the old weather stripping, rehung the doors and adjusted the threshold to insure a proper fit. He then swept the area.
We will have other projects that require a handyman's services and we won't hesitate to use Dave again.

Dave called the sink manufacturer and was able to get replacement parts for free!! I just had to pay for his plumbing services. We had to wait for the parts to be delivered. As soon as I let him know the parts had arrived, he came back the very next day. One piece of the gutter had to be replaced and Dave knew someone who would create the exact piece we needed and for much less than other repair services I got estimates from. I had a few pieces of old siding and He was able to use what we had to repair the barn. He's willing to invest his extra effort to save the homeowner dollars on parts and materials.

Arrived on Time, gave estimate and I accepted the bid. Two days later they showed up, did the job and cleaned up afterwards. Very Professional !

David was quick to respond to my first call and was able to come over the next day. He started the work the following day. He was always on time and was maticulous and thorough in his work. He suggested that I add a vent opening in front of the pipe that was prone to freezing so that the room air could keep it warm. I thought that was a smart suggestion.

I was called back quickly, had an appointment the same day, everything was resolved same day for a very fair price. I was kept up to date on how the repairs were going throughout the day, including charges. Dave also provided an alternative solution to fix a broken door. Will be using again in the future.

David from Milender Home Repair is a great person, has been fair with us, on time, and did great work. He worked efficiently, effectively, is knowledgeable about his craft, and explained things very well. He was able to guesstimate the hours and he would only bill based on the work he did. I've used him a few times and I will continue to have him do work at the house.

he gutter repair was done quickly and quietly, the area was clean when he left, i did not have to clean up after him. i did not feelt that i had to watch his work and i felt that i could trust his professionalism. i will ask him him to repair a porch his spring. he was willing to do a small job that i could not do.

He did a great job. He also came over to look at the project first then came back later with everything he needed to do the job.

He called very fast and we scheduled a time to meet and he gave an estimate. He came despite a bad cut on his hand. When he could not make it by 8 am, he let me know and came later that day and did our project. He and his son did a great job. I should have told him I needed the stain darker to match - one of us should have caught it but no big deal as I can darken. Had I mentioned , he would have fixed. Very nice man. I will use again. Great prices.

Dave came to install the new fixtures I purchased and to make repairs on my house. I had a long list of items for him to do which contained the installation of all new items such as a dishwasher, kitchen counter top, cabinets, bathroom vanity, and replace a wall faucet. I also wanted him to install new lighting and outlets in the bathroom but he could not do these things because it took longer for him to make the installations. He said he Assumed that some of the work was already done on the dishwasher and counter top. He had made the asumption that the hole for the sink was already cut and the counter top was already put together. He assumed there was also some work done on the dishwasher etc.
I explained these were new items still new in the box and that I did not have a hook up for the dishwasher yet. I made it clear that nothing had been done on these new items as he could look at the items to see they were brand new. He did not ask me questions about any work that could have been done on them and he could clearly see the counter top was not prepared in any way. He looked at the list and assured me the list could be done in 2 days and he estimated the job for no higher than $1500.00. He also said he could do all the work himself and would only need a helper with the counter top and the minor repairs.
As it turned out it took much longer to do the work and he charged about $2500 for the work. I had told him I was living on disability and I could not spend a lot of money for his work. I made it clear to him that I would need him to do good work at a cost saving price. I had to purchase the cheapest items the home improvement stores had and I did not have a lot of money to spend on the installations. I told him that the house still had the original fixtures from when it was build in 1959. The faucets was corroding, the bathroom sink was barely still hanging on the wall, the counter top was extremely old and out dated and there was not enough cabinets in the kitchen. He did not have time to do the rest of the work because he spent so much time on the first items on the list and I can not afford to hire anyone else to finish the work on the house.

First, Mr. Milender returned my call quickly. Given that I had called several, this was a first. He was available the very next day for a long list of tasks and showed up bright and early and on time. He fixed my back door which was skewed and he had to move the locks so the door would seal right. I didn't know how to fix it and he diagnosed and fixed it quickly. He uses quality dry wall repair materials and even offered to vacuum! He also replaced a bathtub drain, and had to make a trip to Lowe's for me. You can just tell he won't do something unless he can do it right. He hung several shelfs so that they were sturdy enough for storage - taking care to make sure everything was level and cleaned up. He's a proud grandpa and someone I am glad to have met. I will definitely call him should I ever need anything done in the house.

Dave is excellent. He knows exactly what he is doing in many different areas around the home. He is very thorough. He also is friendly and has a great sense of humor. I highly recommend him.

He was very personable, and grasped the problem as his own. He rendered excellent care.The bulbs he replaced were in a 25 foot high ceiling. The cost of the bulbs was 94.45. He also replaced the balance.

Could not have gone any better. As you can see from the list above, we had a lot of issues for Dave to tackle and he did so in a timely, quality fashion. We will continue to use Dave and recommend him to anyone and everyone who needs repair work done in their home.

Dave worked with me regarding payment and schedule. It was 'by the hour' which I prefer. We knocked off chunks of the project throughout 2011... I'd pay him for that portion and would call him up once I was ready financially for the next step. I was comfortable with him working in my house when I was away. Great work and a great guy.
