Went well. I would recommend their rental department and would use them again if needed.

They're prices aren't always better than Lowe's, but sometimes they're better and have better selection for unique items (e.g. last weekend I needed a T55 Torx socket; the biggest Lowe's had was a T50; Akard had one in a set that had T55 and T60 along with 10 other sizes - the entire set cost the same as one socket at Lowe's and they even have a lifetime guarantee). They're a home-town hardware store and should be considered before the big box stores.

Both things went as planned. Friendly staff. I'll be back in for something before long...

They delivered it on time. Their sales staff on the phone was polite.

We needed a new grill and I went to Ackards to see what was there Joe and BJ helped me pick out a new Weber. They went over some of the options available and showed me some features that would fit my needs. I really liked the new finish that did not scratch up. I asked them to assemple one for me. I was supposed to stop by and pay for it and they would deliver it to the house. I got caught up at work and was late. They took it over to the house in the afternoon and I stopped by about 2 hours later to settle up. I love this place no other big box retail store would even think about giving me that sort of service. This make you think Mayberry may still exist with stores like Akards. Thanks guys for going above and beyond.

Repair was made properly and in the time frame promised. It took about 5 days.

I HAVE USED THEM FOR REPAIR SERVICES AND SPECIAL PROJECT SERVICE (THEY HAVE A REPAIR SHOP AT THE BACK OF THE STORE), ALSO RENTAL EQUIPMENT, HAVE HAD KEYS MADE THERE, AND MADE NUMEROUS PURCHASES OVER THE LAST YEAR SINCE WE MOVED INTO A NEW HOUSE IN ZIONSVILLE. THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN VERY HELPFUL, AND THEY HAVE FAIR PRICES. I WOULD GIVE THEM THE HIGHEST SCORE IN ALL CATEGORIES.

THE STAFF AND AKARD TRUE VALUE ARE TRULY INDICATIVE OF THE SMALL TOWN ENVIRONMENT. THEY ARE VERY ATTENTIVE AND TAKE THE TIME TO HELP YOU FIND WHAT YOU NEED. ONCE YOU FREQUENT THE STORE SEVERAL TIMES, YOU WILL NOTICE THAT THE STAFF RECOGNIZES YOU AND ACKNOWLEDGES THAT RECOGNITION. IF THEY DON'T CARRY SOMETHING, THEY WILL EITHER DETERMINE THE OPTION OF ORDERING IT IN OR WILL TRACK DOWN ANOTHER LOCATION (EVEN A COMPETITOR) THAT DOES STOCK THE ITEM. ON SOME ITEMS THEIR PRICES MAY BE HIGHER, BUT THEY DO OFFER SOME DARN GOOD DEALS AT GREAT FREQUENCY.
