Scott did a thorough evaluation of my system and pointed out things that other people had said needed to be replaced were in error, saving me LOTS of money on unneeded repair. And he arranged for another professional to do the work I DO Need done (i.e. duct work / repair). Quite friendly and punctual and professional. Recommended!

It went great. Scott takes time on the phone to step you through the simple fixes that people sometimes overlook--tripped fuse, accidentally switched off etc. If a service call is needed, he's prompt, courteous, and very knowledgeable. Adjusted internal setting etc. to get our furnace "on its feet" again. I recommend him most highly.

We were furst time home owners experiencing our first major home repair and thankfully we saw their name on Angie's list. He made a scary situation (no heat in the middle of winter ) less scary.

I called him and left a message on New Year'S Day.  He called back in less than 15 minutes.  He asked me about the problem in great detail, figured out what was wrong and told me how to fix it. 

Scott did an excellent job assessing the problem and fixing it at a very reasonable price. He was also very friendly and did a good job explaining the problem and what he needed to do.

Scott Cox was responsive, timely, very friendly, and honest.  He diagnosed the issue I was having with my heat pump and fixed it same day.  I was so impressed with his service that I hired him again to work on a furnace at one of my rental properties.  For that job, he found a bad motor, ordered it and returned to replace and verify operation.  The cost was $360, including the new motor.  I would happily recommend to anyone looking for heating and air service.

Mr. Cox was on time and very professional. I think he was very fairly priced. Problem was solved and have had no further problems with the AC.

Scott Cox is a one-man operation, so I take comfort in knowing that he alone is responsible for all of the decisions made and the repairs performed. Scott is honest and up-front, a very personable technician who takes the time not only to explain what the issue is, but also what the options for moving forward are and what the advantages and drawbacks to each of those options are.
 Scott came out on 7/28, the very same day I purchased his Tune-Up/Inspection special from Angie's List. It took only 15 minutes or so for him to assess and diagnose the issue, and most of that time was spent waiting for the A/C unit to cycle so that the problem would present itself. Once he identified the issue, Scott outlined our options for repair, and gave us his recommendation - a relatively inexpensive repair rather than installing a new unit. That was my first cue that I'd made the right call. We opted for the fix, so Scott ordered the motor we needed, and scheduled his next visit for the very next time I was available to be home - 7/30.
 Upon his second visit, Scott stopped by the house first to confirm that the A/C unit would come apart without any surprises involved. He was up-front about that possibility from the beginning, so I appreciated his stopping by to disassemble the unit BEFORE stopping to pick up the motor he'd ordered in. Had anything unforeseen occurred, he could have simply grabbed the necessary parts while collecting the motor, rather than making more runs to the part store mid-job for unexpected parts. Thankfully the unit came apart nicely, and within about 30 minutes we were ready to power the unit back on and start enjoying conditioned air again.
I would HIGHLY recommend Scott Cox to anyone interested in receiving quality work from a quality technician. Here is a service technician who is more interested in providing you with the service you require than in trying to sell new units. Scott was efficient, timely, honest, and reasonably priced. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Scott was great!  He actually came twice because he tried to repair the furnace with the least expensive option, which unfortunately did not last but he had been upfront about this and it was our choice.  Imagine someone who gives options these days and doesn't try to take advantage of the situation!  We called him and, before he returned our call, he researched the part we needed, located it, and scheduled a time to install it.
I've waited a couple of weeks to write this review to make sure everything continues to function and it does with flying colors.  Scott will be our go to person for any furnace/air conditioning repairs.

Scott is very knowledgeable and did a great job of explaining the problem with out A/C.  He also talked me through the different options for fixing it (a locked up compressor), and why he chose the solution he implemented.  This is the second time that Scott has done work for us, and we have found him to be a very good and fair man.  His goal seems to be to give his customers the best and most cost-efficient  solutions.  Highly recommend.

I called Scott in the morning and he came the same day in the afternoon. He listened to my description of the issue, asked some questions and cleaned the ignition rod. He did not try and sell me any additional services I didn't need. He explained what he did and why, asked if I had any additional questions and told me to call him if I had any additional problems. He gave me a very reasonable bill for an hour's worth of work. I was very pleased.

Steve came and evaluated the home the same day we called.  We purchased this home for our daughters to live in while attending BSU and we wanted to get the work done before school started back up in August.  Steve was able to work within our timeline and get the work done the same week.  We are extremely pleased with the quality and outcome of his work.  His price was a little higher than we expected but ended up being worth it.  He also came in higher than his estimate but he was a man of his word and honored what he told us.  I would highly recommend him and have comfort in knowing we have someone reliable to call if our daughters have any issues throughout the school year.
