I talked to Shane Hall about the possibility of he and Jason re-doing my kitchen floor. Within a couple of days, they called and came over to give me an estimate.  Although I had been told I did have hardwood floors under the carpet, no one had told me there was a layer of linoleum on top of it.  Jason showed me the linoleum.  They gave me an estimate of $1700-$1800 and said it would take 3-4 days.  I was surprised by how much it was going to cost, but after seeing all the work involved, it now seems very reasonable.  They did the work while I was out of town.  They called several times to check on what finish I wanted, etc.  When I returned home, they had just finished applying the 3rd coat of polyurethane.  The floor looks wonderful!  They had a great deal of difficulty removing the glue from the linoleum.  They eventually had to grind it off.  I had placed painter's tape around all my cabinet doors to prevent dust from getting in, but they also covered all the cabinets with plastic, as well as the doorways.  They removed all the debris and there was next to no dust to be found in the house.  The job had taken them 4 1/2 days and involved lots more work than they first anticipated.  Despite that, they stuck to the original estimate of $1800.  I was very pleased with everything and intend to use them again for other house projects.
