Satellite TV Equipment Service
When the installation was complete, the system did not work. Installer (Kent) said that the receiver needed 48 hours to "download the HD channels". 72 hours later, system still did not have HD channels. I called another company and they sent their own repair person. He was appalled by what he found. He gave me a list of ten items that were incorrectly done. As installed, it was impossible for the system to get HD reception. Some items that were found: Dish was not grounded,; No ground block, exposed connectors, dish not sealed, wrong type of multi-switch, insufficient support of dish ( dish would come down in a heavy wind. Ten screws required is depose supports, only two screws and no external support). It was necessary for the whole installation to be redone. In addition, he quoted one price over the phone then charged $150 more for labor and trip charge after "installation". He did not mention these extra charges over the phone.
