SAM'S DRYWALL INC

Sam and his drywall hanging crew showed up promptly Monday morning.  He gave the crew their instructions and told us he would be leaving and would return later in the morning.  The hanging crew started shortly after 8:00AM and by 9:35AM I noticed the crew standing outside with their tools.  I wondered what caused them to stop and to my amazement found that they had completed the entire kitchen, ceiling and walls.  THEY WERE DONE ALREADY! 

Sam returned as he had said, and he has done all of the taping and finishing work himself.

During the process, we decided to have him skim over the sand textured walls and old textured ceiling in the nook area.  The new kitchen area looked so good that we just wanted that new look in both areas.  Without any delay or complaining he spent the extra time needed to skim over the old textures and catch the nook area up with his earlier work in the kitchen area.

The greatest surprise was the lack of sanding dust in our home.  Although a dust barrier was installed in all three entryways to the nook and kitchen areas, the amount of plaster dust was kept to a minimum by Sam using a low-dust type of joint compound and a dust vacuum type of sander.  We were prepared for much more dust than was created.

Overall, I would say Sam is a real craftsman in that he spent time troweling to the point where very little sanding was needed.  He was able to straighten out any dips in the walls and the entire area looks almost like it has already been sanded. 

What a joy to work with someone who is not only talented, but also dependable.  I will definitely call Sam again if I need drywall installed.
