They did a great job. There was a problem with the latch. I called them and the took care of it. They replaced the latch and they honored the warranty.

Overall the fence looks good, but they didn't put the dirt where I asked it to be placed and there were many pieces of the old fence and the scraps from the new fence left in the yard. Also they did not finish one gate and I have called twice in the past week and no one has come out to finish this work. I may have to call them again if it is not finished this week.

Called to request an appointment for estimate for fence. Requested Weekend estimate so that I could be present. I was told that one of the technicians would contact me to set up an appointment. Waited 5 days. No response. Poor customer service. Would not recommend.

I have a large backyard that I wanted fenced in. They were the best price out of the several quotes I got. Brandon was very helpful in answering any questions I had and also very patient as I worked out issues getting it approved with my HOA. The guys that installed the fence were on time and professional. They had the fence mostly done in two days, and it is a large yard (500+ feet of fencing). I would definitely hire them again.

Brandon Backer took really good care of us before, during and after the installation. It looks very good and compliments our property quite well.

Overall did a great job. Crew arrived when expected, asked question to insure the fence was installed just the way I wanted it. Very happy with the completed job.

We live an hour away from our home and work full-time with little flexibility and asked Brandon to provide an estimate for a fence for our backyard in the Little Flower Neighborhood. Not only did it take multiple phone calls to have someone call us back, Brandon insisted that he could not provide an estimate unless we were home. When we explained this would be very difficult for us, he essentially said that if they were going to take the time to go there to look at the site, we should take the time too. We have never had an issue with a contractor coming over to do an estimate on an outdoor project and were shocked at how rude this business was about it. We have other work being done to the house and those contractors were happy to come out to provide an estimate while we were at work. It's not as if we were never going to see them- we just wanted a bid and then we would have set up a time to go over it and commit to the contract. We will certainly not do business with them or recommend them and are surprised that this business model works for them.

They took a while to start, but showed up when they said they would and had the entire project completed in 2 days. There are no locations where my small dog can exit and the gates seem very stable. The materials seem solid and sturdy. This fence is better than what I would've had if I put it in myself. They did miss a few spots with the nailer, but they have stated they will get those in.

The frustrating part of this review is that these minor issues were exacerbated by poor communication or a lack of concern by this company. During the sales visit I voiced concern that I needed to have the dirt from my posts moved behind the fence, the salesmen told me no problem. Of course I quickly received an invoice for a half down payment and spoke with Brandon in the office who also assured me the dirt was not an issue. He gave me an estimated install date and told me he would give me a call a week prior to the actual date and I needed to be home during the installs. This is really where the communication issues began. The day after my estimated install date (a Tuesday) I called and they informed me they would be out Friday afternoon, of course weather permitting. It rained Thursday and part of Friday morning. I didn't receive a call from Brandon so I assumed everything was on schedule and took Friday afternoon off work and when no one arrived by 2:30 I called and was informed they would be out Monday. Again, through all of this they made sure to stress every conversation ?weather permitting.? I am not upset at the changes, of course means things can change, but as a business professional in any field, when things change you need to communicate that change to your customer and other stakeholders in a project. I have issues they were NEVER communicated anything to me. The post installers arrived Monday afternoon. While going over the layout to finalize the install, we discussed all the details at length including the dirt being moved. The installer responded with "It isn't written on the design sheet so we can't move it." (This was a carbon copy of the sheet the salesman drew, and it indeed didn't have anything written on it about dirt.) I pressed that I had discussed with the salesman and Brandon, but he still refused to move it. After the posts were complete I called Brandon and he did seemed a little surprise at the worker's response. He then assured me when they installed the fence they would move the dirt. The fence would be finished Wednesday afternoon. Taking a third half of day of PTO I came home Wednesday afternoon and no one showed up. After calling the office 3 times with no response starting about 1:30, Brandon returned my call about 3:30 and informed me they would be out Friday morning. Taking another PTO day on Friday four or five guys showed up about 10 AM. I didn't even realize they were here until they a quarter of the fence up. No one informed me they were going to start. Since it was already started I decided to wait and see about the dirt after they finished because surely they will want final sign off of their work. 90 minutes later no one was outside my house anymore. They were just gone. The following Wednesday I received an invoice by email from Brandon. I called and explained my issues (to the "other" Brandon?) with the dirt and the poor communication. He explained something about him being out of the office last week. His demeanor and explanation had the tone of discounting my concerns. Even though I felt he didn't really care that I wasn't happy, he said he would have someone out to move the dirt the following Tuesday. No one showed up. I emailed him again he told me they would be out on Friday. Well, two weeks later I still have piles of dirt next to all my posts. Guess I have to go buy a wheel barrel to clean up their fence mess, should have known better than to send them my final check. To add an extra pain with this install, mowing a week after the fence install, I ran over two green pieces of fencing (my fence is black), which I assume was used to hold the bundles of fence together. It wrapped around my blade and damaged my lawn mower. So they didn't clean up their mess, destroyed my lawn mower, wasted days of my PTO, and they refused to fulfill their promises made before, during, and after the sale, but the fence is fine!

This was an amazing experience! We just purchased a new home. We needed to work with service providers on 5-6 repairs. Working with a cross-section of service providers made me value my experience with Affordable Fence Builders even more. They were professional, efficient, and our new fence looks amazing. I had multiple estimates for this job prior to hiring Affordable Fence Builders. Affordable Fence Builders was the lowest estimate by far and they were the only fence builder that would concrete every post to ensure that the fence would stand the test of time. Every facet of our interaction went smooth. Brandon was great to work with during the estimate process. Every time I email Brandon he responds very quickly. When his crew came out to set the poles in concrete they were extremely patient in helping me design the layout of the fence. I was more than likely a nightmare to work with as I was very particular about the fence lines. The guys kept their composure while I moved multiple fence lines multiple times. I even changed the position of the gates a few times. The guys always showed up when they said they would on time and always completed the tasks that they said they would. I now have a beautiful fence that follows the contours of the yard perfectly. Although it is just a fence it is also a work of art. My neighbors love it and everyone comments on how well it compliments the yard. I will absolutely work with Affordable Fence Builders again!

Recently, we and our neighbors decided that it was time to replace our existing wood fences and decided to seek quotes from companies that would do both projects at the same time. After obtaining several quotes, we decided that we would work with Brandon Matheny, owner/operator, and the crew of Affordable Fence Builders, LLC. Mr. Matheny was very personable and professional in our meetings and our phone conversations. Our part of the project was to be 240' of classic aluminum ornamental fencing, plus half of a 110' shared common line. In addition there would be 3 gates in our part of the project. Brandon informed us that it would take about three weeks to obtain the materials and to start the project. Had it not been for rainy weather, the project would have begun on time. As it was, the start was only delayed one week. The crew from Affordable Fence Builders was equally as personable and professional as their owner. They were prompt to the job site each day, worked an entire day, and at day's end always informed us of their plans for the next day's work and gave us the opportunity to ask questions. They cleared the yard of debris each evening and left no equipment, such as trailers, on the job overnight. The entire project from beginning to end was completed in 3-1/2 work days with the end result being a beautiful new fence in the place of one that was showing its age years through years of deterioration. The new fence will be virtually maintenance free for the coming years and has certainly added to the look of our property. With any project, it is a series of traits that depict quality in a company. With Affordable, it comes from an owner who is on time, communicative, professional, and visits his projects regularly. It is obvious from the conduct of the crew that worked our project that they embrace these same kinds of mannerisms. And with any project, the extra-mile items are always appreciated. In our case it was the fact that not only did the workers take care of our yard, but they also made sure that the excess dirt from the post holes was spread under the entire length of the fence. They even went as far as to take the extra soil and fill in low spots in the yard for us. Many thanks to Brandon Matheny and the crew from Affordable Fence Builders, LLC for a job well done! My dog was climbing over me and my neighbors chain link fences so I needed to get a higher fence installed to prevent it. After getting 3 estimates I decided to go with Affordable Fencing. I wanted vinyl over cedar fencing because of the low maintenance and longer life span, worth the extra cost. They came out and gave me an estimate and what was involved. About a week later they installed the fence and it looks great. I will use them again sometime in the Spring to add more vinyl fencing to another section of my backyard.

Great company to work with. Brandon is very professional and courteous. Competitive pricing. Very efficient. They left the lawn clean and neat. They went out of their way and did extra work because we have an slight drop off on one side of the yard. Very happy with the fence. We would recommend them to anyone.

I called Brandon Matheny, owner of Affordable Fence. Within 48 hours he had examined my project and emailed me quotes of different types of fencing. We talked on the phone and assigned a time on Saturday to review the project and quotes. Brandon arrived on time. He shared helpful suggestions, including cost savings ideas. Job was completed in two days: First day: Removal of the old fence and setting the posts in concrete. Second day: Cedar 2 x 4 and cedar boards installed. Job completed by noon. Brandon and his employee’s were professional and easy to talk with. Employee’s worked around many perennials that followed the fence line. Excellent attention to the detailed finish on the fence, gate lock and cleanup. My job was completed on time and on quote. Also there is a 2 year guarantee on the fence workmanship.
