NEW WAVE PROPERTY SERVICE

Jeremy said that my fir tree had bugs and a fungus and it should be treated. I hired him and he said that he would call before starting the work. He never called before he started. He ended up killing all of the grass around the tree. He said the only cure was to aerate the yard for an additional $65. I should not have to pay to fix his mistake. I ended up hiring another company to fix what he created. My new company said that Jeremy did not disclose what chemicals he used nor did he supply his state certificate number for using the pesticide. Both of those are violations of State law.

On the day we had indicated as a preferred day we did not hear from the provider. We had to write them an email asking them to call us when they were on their way to work on our yard. At this point they replied stating, for the first time, that they appointment for scheduled for the next day. We reluctantly accepted. 
The next day we returned home to find that no work was done at all. We called them up and asked for a refund. At this point they argued that the service was performed and they were going to send someone to verify the work. Their rep showed up and verified that the work was indeed NOT DONE on our yard at all. At this point they attempted to reschedule for another day which they could not specify. In any case we found their reliability shaky and informed them that since the service was not performed in a timely manner we did not want the service at all and would like a full refund. They kept pushing to have the crew come some other day and do the service which would caused scheduling conflicts on our end. Then the rep told me that he would go back and let me know of a resolution by Monday morning of next week. All this happened on a Friday. 
The following Monday we did not hear from them till 10:30 so we sent them an email reiterating that we would not like to reschedule their service and would like a full refund. We received no reply till the end of the day when we were informed that their crew had stopped by our property in the morning and was performing the service. When they received the email from us around 10:30am they stopped working on our yard half way. 
After this they offered to only refund $50 from the original $310 that they charged us stating that they had done some of the work and seeded part of the yard. Additionally they stated that after 5 days of signing the contract they cannot refund the money as stated in the contract. Our take on the whole thing if they did not provide a service then they are in breach of their own contract. Pushing their service on us doesn't count for providing the service when we requested it. 
Our take on this business is as follows:

Very unreliable
Their crew and resources are very stretched and don't do a good job
Extremely shady business

Love them!  That's why I don't look for anyone else.  They come in and get the job done and blow everything clean before they leave.  Wouldn't use anyone else.  He's reasonable.

They quality of the work was excellent. The patio itself and brick work turned out great. Everything else was problematic. We could never get a hold of them. We never knew when they would be coming out. They tore up our yard, which was totally unnecessary. There was also other damage to our home and you kind of expect that when they are using large equipment, but the problem was that we had to argue with them to get them to fix everything. They repaired the lawn by releveling and reseeded the ground, but we had to water it every day in order to get it going which about doubled out water bill. When the guys came out it was hard to communicate with them. There was no supervision or project manager on site. I want to stress that the quality is excellent and that they worked very h****** the patio. Even though the quality was excellent, I would probably not use them again.

I used New Wave for my irrigation, because he offered financing in October 2012.  After signing contract, it took them 3 days to complete the job and tore my whole yard up.  I?ve had irrigation at my previous home, and it was cheaper than New Wave and the company left with virtually no sign of him being there to my yard.  

New Wave had 3 Hispanics install the system that could not speak English, and never adjusted the sprinklers after I complained that they were not spraying correctly.  

Do not miss a payment!!!!!!  Without contacting me or letting me know what he was doing?HIS CREW CAME OUT TO MY PROPERTY WHEN I WAS NOT HOME IN APRIL 2013 AND MADE THE SYSTEM ?INOPERABLE? BY TAKING PARTS OFF OF THE SYSTEM.    
Bad work and bad customer relations, do not use this company.   

Installed landscaping stone, rocks, cleaned area under deck, removed lots of old debris and filled in dirt.
Worked neat and clean. Reasonably priced. was responsive to any requests or needs. Would use them again.

Estimator/Jeremy Ryan came out on time in March to give an estimate which seemed fair.   He made an appointment for May 4th at 10:30 am to come and open our irrigation system and do any repairs if necessary.  My husband took a day of vacation to be present during repairs...NO SHOW...NO CALLS on 5/4 even though I called New Wave Property Services at least 3 times starting @ 1:30pm and was told someone would call me back???  Jeremy finally called on 5/9 and said I did not have the correct time...well I had the correct date...so why did you not call???  A wasted vacation day but glad I did not use their services afterreading other Angie List reviews.  BEWARE and save your self some time and frustration.  I hate to write negative reviews BUT I hate to waste time even more!!!

I hope you're not in a hurry...because when they give you a date, count on 2 weeks PLUS after that!!

My experience with them was very good. They had better values than few other landscapers. The quality of their work was very good. They weren?t very punctual, though. I?d definitely use their services in the future.

I've talked to him about this before because I am just not happy with the results of this patio. He even sent out a crew to resand the patio, but that did nothing. I feel this is a very poor business.

There initial communication was OK, but they had trouble communicating the the start date. They brought new dirt into the back yard and tried to re-grate it to improve the drainage. Their paperwork indicated a 'guarantee' that it would work. It did not. They installed flagstaff stone around the hot tub but they did not install a gravel base at all, simply sand - up to 3 inches deep of sand. They said that is the way it is done. There are gaps between the stones of up to 4 inches! They are absolutely horrible about communication and follow through.

When they came out to do a proposal on my flower beds, I asked them what type of mulch they used and if I could see a sample of it. They forgot to bring the sample with them when they came. In the estimate they wrote dirt in flower beds not mulch which made me question their quality of the mulch they use.

I have used them for four years. What they do is pretty satisfactory but there are times I would like to speak to someone but it is hard to communicate with the workers that come to my home. They are non-English speaking.

This company should be removed from Angie's List. The work was average and I felt like a babysitter. The communication of what was to be done and when it should be completed was horrible. I should have know by the incomplete and inaccurate estimate that there would be problems down the road. If it were not for my kind heart I would have pulled the plug on this project. However, I have learned my lesson. Review the "entire" listing of contractors before making a selection.

THERE WAS A BIG PROBLEM WITH COMMUNICATION. OUT OF THE EIGHT PEOPLE THAT CAME TO DO THE WORK, NO ONE COULD SPEAK ENGLISH. THEY APPEARED TO HAVE NO BUSINESS PLAN AND NO DIRECTION. THEY WERE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

THE ONLY TIME HE SHOWED UP ON TIME WAS THE DAY HE WAS SUPPOSED TO GET THE CHECK. THE YARD WAS A MESS, FILLED WITH HUGE HOLES. HIS COMMUNICATION WAS HORRIBLE. HE OFTEN LEFT THESE HOLES UNCOVERED IN AN AREA WHERE OUR CHILDREN OFTEN PLAY. ANY TIME THAT WE CALLED TO ASK HIM TO RECTIFY PROBLEMS, HE WAS NOT EVER RESPONSIVE. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS AWFUL.

ALL OF MY EXPERIENCES WITH JEREMY AND HIS CREW HAVE BEEN POSITIVE. GENERALLY, HIS CREW DOES NOT SPEAK ENGLISH VERY WELL, SO I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM FOR ANYTHING COMPLICATED, BUT THEY DID A GREAT JOB WITH THE CLEANUP AND MULCH SPREADING. LAST YEAR, WHEN THEY PUT THE FLOWER BED IN, THEY ACCIDENTALLY CUT THE INVISIBLE FENCE WIRE FOR MY DOG, HOWEVER, THEY WILLINGLY FIXED IT AT NO CHARGE. THIS YEAR THEY MAY HAVE WEEDED OUT A FEW OF MY PERENNIALS, BUT I WOULD PREFER TO LOSE A FEW PERENNIALS RATHER THAN HAVE THEM MISS A LOT OF WEEDS. THE YARD WAS VERY WELL GROOMED WHEN THEY FINISHED. IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT ANYTHING IN PARTICULAR, IT'S BEST TO SUPERVISE THE WORK AND CALL JEREMY RIGHT AWAY IF SOMETHING IS NOT GOING EXACTLY AS YOU INTENDED.

WE RECEIVED HIS NAME FROM OUR NEIGHBOR. HE DID A VERY POOR JOB. THE IRRIGATION SYSTEM WAS NOT PROFESSIONALLY DONE AND NOT TO OUR SATISFACTION. WHEN WE TOLD HIM WE WERE DISSATISFIED HE BLAMED IT ON THE DEISGN OF THE SYSTEM. HE SAID HE WOULD GET A CERTIFICATE FROM THE MANUFACTURER. THIS WILL NOT HELP US. IT JUST APPEAR THAT HE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HE IS DOING AND LACKS EXPERIENCE. HE SAID HE WOULD IMPROVE THE LAWN, BUT IT IS NOT TO OUR SATISFACTION. I AM GOING TO HAVE TO SPEND BETWEEN $500-1,000 TO BRING IT BACK TO GOOD CONDITION. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.

EACH TIME I RETURNED HOME THE GRASS HAD NOT BEEN CUT. AFTER TWO PHONE CALLS TO THE COMPANY MY GRASS WAS STILL NOT CUT. I ASKED TO SPEAK WITH THE OWNER AND WAS PUT OFF, BUT SAID OWNER WOULD CALL. I CALLED TWO MORE TIMES AND STILL HAVEN'T HEARD FROM THE OWNER. I WILL NOT BE HIRING THEM TO DO ANY WORK EVER AGAIN.
