Hittle did a poor job on sodding the backyard. There were many gaps. They blamed it on me not watering it enough, although I soaked that sod because it was an expensive job. I asked for the job to be prepared and was told someone came out and took care of it. Yet, there was no sign of this occurring. I had also paid for sod in the front and it took so long for them to deliver it, I ended up asking for a refund. It was a poor experience all the way around.

Hittle Landscaping was genuinely excellent. From the initial estimate to completion, the communication of the project, the details, the oversight and the work of the crews were first class in every dimension. In fact, the crews were very insightful in using their experiences to offer suggestions on design that were not originally considered by us. Having worked with many contractors, we truly appreciated the communication...what was going to occur, when it was going to occur and who was going to do the work.

Hittle landscaping has excellent custom service. We bought 10 trees from them back in late 2014 and one of them was completely dead recently. As this tree started to show problem in the late summer last year, we called them and wondered if they could replace it. They came back right away after our phone call and dug out the old tree and planted a new tree. Their manager Scott is very nice, knowledgeable, and very professional. He also gave us useful tips on tree care. We are very thankful for their quality work. 

We closed in Oct. with the promise that they would return early next spring to re-level the yard for settling.  We have been asking for two months to get this done now with no response.  I have had to postpone my fence installation because of this delay.

Hittles did an excellent job overall, and we are highly satisfied with how the yard turned out. They were cheaper than two other estimates, presented us with the best design for our yard, and they were veryprofessional at all times. Their design consultant was creative and helpful, and adjusted the plan as we went along according to our wants/needs. A year after installation, we had one maple tree and some small perennials that had died (it was en extremely dry/hot summer), and they replaced them promptly for free, no questions asked. We also had a pine tree with a very crooked trunk, which they staked and tied; six months later it looked fine. We have received many compliments from our neighbors--who all have extremely nice, established landscaping themselves--and we could not be happier. We plan to use Hittles again next year, when we plan to put in a patio and fire pit.

We bought a house from a previous owner who apparently had done little to no landscaping work over a number of years. The living plants were overgrown, and the beds were thick with dead shrubbery and other plants. Hittle did a nice job of cleaning it all out and removing the debris. It was pricey, but in line with the two other quotes I got. (I chose Hittle even though the quote was a little higher than the others in part because they do all the landscaping work for my subdivision, which always looks good. I figured they'd do a good job, and they did.)

I was pleased with everything they did. The only issue I had and it was not really their issue was they were building a house next door to me so they could not complete my landscaping until that house was complete, but as soon as the house was completed, they came back and finished everything. Over the winter that we had, I had a few things that died. They were very responsive, came out, and replaced all those in the spring this year. I would definitely recommend them. I think they do really good quality work. The price was pretty competitive. I had compared them to almost other people.

We have actually used Hittle Landscape for 25+ years on a regular basis both personally and professionally. They are the best landscape company we have ever dealt with. Their hands on approach and customer service is top knotch and family pride in ownership is evident on every job they do. The employees they have amassed take the same pride in their day to day operations and their loyalty to their customer base is unsurpassed.

There was nothing wrong with the sod work or the bushes or trees. The hydroseeding, they did it on a day where it completely washed away. I was never able to get any satisfaction, they said that there was no warranty with any landscaping work. I've had to over-seed over 4 or 5 times myself after this, and I never really did hear back from Hittle to even re-seed whether or not it was hydraseeding.

They are fantastic. They are hardworking. They are a good company. Everything we asked them, they change so they have been pretty good for us.

Hittle Landscaping Inc is working right now and they started last week. They are doing a really good job. When I called them, they answered the phone. They called us right back and said they would be out in a couple of days and talk to us and get us an estimate.

Hittle did a great job of installing the sod, seed, and installing the irrigation system. The coverage for the system is top notch and it works great NOW.
Our biggest issue was with any follow up we had. It took multiple emails and calls to get anybody back out to run my through how the irrigation system worked. There wound up being a couple of sprinkler heads that needed to be fixed or adjusted, and again, it took multiple contacts to get somebody to come out and fix them. Once somebody came out to the house, they were very professional and fixed everything correctly the first time.
Our real issue was with our patio designer. We first called them in November of 2012 to talk about designed an outdoor living space and patio for our newly constructed home. The decision was to wait until the home was closer to being finished to design everything. We met with our designer and talked about and even gave her pictures of what we were looking to do in February. We were told it would take a 4-6 weeks before our design would be ready. Since we have a new house, we found out it was best to wait a full year to build anyway, so we were not in a hurry. After about 6 weeks, we contacted the designer and she said it would be ready in a week. Two weeks later we got the same response. Two weeks later we got the same response. The patter continued until i finally asked for a refund, which we did recieve.
We will now hire a different company to design and build our new patio. I would not recommend using HIttle and we would not use Hittle again. I am afraid that if you use them they will not get things done on time unless you keep calling and emailing them.

It did not go well. I was very disappointed. I would not use them or recommend them to anyone else.

So far they have done excellent work and we would use them for other landscaping services.

Their price are reasonable. They're in the process doing the product for me. I will continue to use them int the future.

We work with Dave at Hittle and have used them for about two years now. Their crew does an excellent job in maintaining our lawn and does all the fertilizer as well. We also used them for snow removal this past winter and they are super prompt and do a great work. We are also planning on using them to do a little more landscaping this year around the house. We had great experience with them and definitely would recommend them.

We has seen Hittle at an event at the Indianapolis Fairgrounds. When it was determined by another contractor that our drainage system needed to be reconfigured, we gave Hittle a call. Dustin and Justin both came to consult and give an estimate. They were very professional and knowledgeable. We decided to go with Hittle. During the course of the work, which was spread out over several weeks (weather did not help) you sometimes had to call a few times to get a response, but they ultimately got the project done. It looks great and our sump pump hardly ever runs now but it ran constantly prior to the work. We were pleasantly surprised that the price for the sod that was laid had been factored into other elements of the project!!

It did not go very well. I received a quote from them to do a certain task and once they came out to do the job, they under quoted and did a poor job to try to stay within the quote. They came out to reseed the lawn, but it was too hard and the seed never took and did not grow. I called and advised that the seed was not growing and they finally came out and redid it, but it was after multiple calls. They did not seem very professional and didn't seem to know what it took to get a lawn going.

I called Hittle and left a message for a designer to call me. Leslie called me within a couple of days. We then met at my home the next week. She was on time and very knowledgeable. After discussing what I wanted she took measurements and made sketches. I
I had her plan and quote within a couple of weeks. I asked for a couple of small changes and then approved the plan. The workers came to implement the plan on the designated date. They were professional as well and were done in a couple of days. My overall opinion is they are a good company to work with. In fact I am having more done with this company this fall.
