Heartland Property Management

On the evening of October 11, 2017 I called Heartland Property Management to inquire about a property situated on the borderline of Carmel, IN. My call was answered by "Richard," who immediately projected a terse tone toward me the moment I stated my name while in the midst of introducing myself. After stating my interest and the location of the home, Richard abruptly cut me off demanding to know what I "thought" the home was going for, details of my budget, and other information. I was completely caught off guard by the negativity of his attitude toward me. In fact, I could barely respond without him cutting me off or speaking over me entirely. Richard was apologetically rude, assumptive, and it was painfully obvious that his tolerance for anyone similar to me was extremely low. At some point, I interjected clarifying that I would not disclose such personal details to him and that his rudeness toward me was unacceptable. He curtly responded that he "only deals with millionaires on a daily basis," while making his position clear - that he did not have time to deal with someone of the likes of me. Based on the brevity of our conversation, I would find it extremely difficult to believe that he has not spoken to or treated others like me with the same outright disrespect. For anyone considering contacting this company for information, service, or otherwise, please consider my unfortunate experience with Richard as a clear warning. If you have already contacted Heartland Property Management and experienced the same obvious intolerance, please let me know. I am extremely curious to know of anyone else who has also been dealt with the same way as I was this evening or had their inquiries blatantly ignored by Richard or other staff of this property management company.
