I WANTED TO GET ONE PERSON TO DO THE STONE WORK AND TUCKPOINTING. HE DID FINE ON THE CONCRETE STEPS. THE OWNER SAID HE WOULD LAY THE STONES IN THE WALL LIKE THEY WERE, BUT DIDN'T. THE STONES WERE PLACED CROOKED. HE CLAIMED THAT HIS WORKERS COULD SPEAK ENGLISH, BUT I COULD TELL THAT THEY DID NOT UNDERSTAND HIS EXPLANATION OF HOW TO DO IT. THEY SMEARED THE LIGHT GROUT ALL OVER THE BROWN STONE. HE SAID IT WOULD COME OFF THE STONE. HE DID NOT REMOVE THE OLD GROUT AND JUST PUT GROUT IN THE INDENTATIONS SMEARING IT ALL OVER THE STONE. HE ASSURED ME IT WOULD COME OFF WITH GROUT REMOVER, BUT THE GROUT CLEANER DIDN'T WORK. THEY USED WIRE BRUSHES AND GOT SOME OFF, BUT THEY LEFT AND DIDN'T FINISH. HE WILL NOT RETURN CALLS. I HAVE CALLED HIM AT LEAST 50 TIMES SINCE AUGUST 8TH. I PAID HIM IN FULL BECAUSE I FELT SORRY FOR HIM HAVING A DETACHED RETINA. I FOUND OUT HE WAS WORKING AT OTHER JOBS EVERY DAY, BUT WOULD NOT RETURN TO FINISH MY JOB. HE WAS NICE AND I DIDN'T DREAM HE WOULD DO THIS TO ME.

"Regarding complaint from the member. While stone was being cleaned the member told me we could not use any chemical that which is used for cleaning for this type of cleaning. We found broken tile from downspout and main tile was so filled with dirt could not be cleaned out. At this time the member requested additionalwork order to install new tile to be run down hill under walk placed in gravel bed. Old wall was grumbed and broken so badly stone could not be attached. We had to install a new block wall filled with concrete and steel in front of old wall so existing stone could be attached. The member requested my crew clean out all of her gutters and haul debris away. The member has not paid for any of the work she requested that was not in the contract. C R Wiegand"
