 + -1 moreI called to request a second opinion regarding the need to replace my furnace. He agreed to come out the same day. He quoted me a fair price for an 80% AFUE furnace, but did not want to consider installing a 95% AFUE so I could qualify for the energy tax credit and Vectren rebate. Also, he told me I already have a flue liner when 2 other companies have told me I do not and would need one with an 80% AFUE furnace. I'm still not sure who was correct, but I have decided to go with another company, Super Heating and Cooling, to install a 95% AFUE furnace (which does not require a flue liner). After the tax credit and Vectren rebate, I will be paying less than the cost of an 80% AFUE. (see also my reports on Super H&C and Paitson Bros. H&C)
