COMMERCIAL BROKERS INC

Since we were living in another state from the property that was being listed for sale, we depended on the realtor to help coordinate the work to be done. We were frustrated with how much time it took to line up contractors, which delayed the listing of the property (initially contacted the realtor in mid July, but property was not listed until early November; required approximately 3 weeks worth of work). We needed to prod the realtor several times to get the work done in a timely fashion. During the actual sale of the house, we did not feel she was a very strong advocate for our position in the transaction. She seemed to react to every off-hand comment the purchasers' realtor made in the offer/counter-offer exchange and expected us to respond immediately, causing us to feel as though the negotiations were extremely fragile. We never had a good sense of how she was representing us to the purchasers and we felt pressed to accept a lower price and to do more work on the house than necessary. Due to the distance, the realtor represented us at the closing, but even now, nearly three weeks later, we have had no communication from her since before the closing, even after sending a message asking how it went, etc. While we realize that the long distance nature of the relationship posed challenges on both sides, it still was not a very satisfying experience for us.

Overall we think all went perfect. Commercial Brokers provided timely, convenient service. We especially appreciate the thorough knowledge of the neighborhood, experienced evaluation of what we were looking at, and the facts provided by Barry and Michele. They were professional, patient, and refreshingly honest during the encounter. We'll continue utilizing Commercial Brokers for sure, and recommend them to anyone needing real estate services!
