CHEM-DRY OF LAFAYETTE

We are very pleased with the outcome. Our carpets look like brand new. The service was efficient and the quality excellent. The Chem-Dry technician was very professional and took care to not damage anything. He told me that the cleaning included a stain repellent protection at no cost. I did not want that so He substituted an anti-microbial treatment instead. The up-charge for the anti-microbial was only $100. Chem-Dry of Lafayette may be a bit higher cost than other carpet cleaners in the area, but their technicians are well trained and their equipment is kept in tip-top condition. Definitely worth it in the long run.

Very punctual, friendly, very fast. Two stains in particular needed attention, one they got out the other not all the way but they left a can of cleaner so I just sprayed it on the spot again the next day and rubbed it hard for a few minutes and the spot was gone.

They damaged my wall and I know because we had just got it painted and after they left, the handle bar of the machine hit the wall and they never said anything to me. We didn't have time to call them 'cause we are putting that house in the market and so we just fixed it ourselves. I was really frustrated with that. They did it faster than I thought that they should have gone. I thought that they should have gone slower and they didn't get as many stains out as I thought that they would. I think that their quote was an average amount.

They arrived on time but had problems with the equipment and had to leave and return with another carpet cleaner.
It was raining outside and I was disappointed that the workers did not either remove their shoes or wear covers.
The carpets were clean when completed but it did take another good sweeping once dry to pickup the leftovers, this is typical with multiple animals in the house - just an FYI for anyone else looking for carpet cleaning.

Josh, the service tech that cleaned my carpets arrived promptly, was professional, explained what he was going to do and did a great job. He was friendly, definetly an asset to the company.

It took about an hour and a half for them to get the work done. They were good. They were very courteous and conscientious. The price charged by them was average.

We were getting a home ready to put on the market for sale. The carpeting was very badly matted and soiled on the stairway and the hall had a problem with cat urine. Due to reviews on Angie's list I called Chem-Dry. The staff person was very professional and helpful. She gave me an estimate from my description of the areas and the problems. Luckily they had an opening that afternoon. I was particularly pleased that we did not have to wait at the house all afternoon for the crew. The office called 30 minutes before the crew would arrive. They showed up right on time, gave a firm estimate and got to work. We were amazed at how much better the carpeting looked afterward. All the stains came out and they used a special product to neutralize the cat urine. The staff was punctual, courteous and efficient. They said if they needed to come back to correct any problems, to call them. The only reason why I rated the price B instead of A is because the product used for the cat urine is very expensive, although I do think that the result was very good. We would definitely use this company again.

We purchased a 3-BR condo for student rental. After cleaning and painting, we really needed to get the carpet cleaned, including some dark stains in 2 rooms (which we weren't sure were going to come out). We live out of town, so arranged this by phone. The price of $225 was for cleaning, but there was an offer for free carpet protection applied on top of this. We went to the condo a few days after the work was done, and it looked great - all the stains were gone!

When we first called, they'd given us a rough estimate of our cost which turned out to be higher than what we actually ended up paying. They'd also given us a two-hour window for their arrival time, but they showed up just 10 minutes into that interval. They proceeded to measure the size of the carpet to be cleaned, not just the size of the room. That is, some corners of our largest room are tiled rather than carpeted, so they subtracted those areas from their measurements. They then told us exactly what it would cost for the basic cleaning and the additional pet odor removal chemicals. It turned out to be more expensive than the other guys who cleaned our carpets last time, but boy, was it worth it. They were very thorough, and very successful at removing even the worst stains in our carpet, even though they forewarned us that some stains just don't come out. Their equipment was first class. They sprayed their cleaning solution on the carpet then used a rotating machine much like a floor buffer with cleats to literally scrub the carpet. For the couches they used a vacuum that sucked the cleaning fluid back into a tank outside in their truck. They cleaned and vacuumed every square inch of both couches, including the back sides. They brought everything they needed, including their own water. It took them four hours to finish the whole job at which point they cleaned up everything and explained their follow-up policy - "if a strain comes back, we come back". There were two of them working the whole time, so in terms of dollars per man per hour, I'd say we got our money's worth.

They were running a little late and got lost getting to my home but they called several times to keep me informed of when they would get to my home. When they arrived they were very professional, nicely dress, very clean, and extremely friendly. They first measured the rooms, told me the price, and then got started. They were concerned about several areas because they were well worn traffic areas, but they worked at it until it was looking really good. At the end they raked the whole area to make it look like new, cleaned up all their tools and were gone within 45 minutes. I would recommend them to anyone. They did a great job and were pleasant to have in my home.
