C&R Cleaning

Kenny was very polite and friendly. He was a bit late, but I'm not holding that against him. He brought a young woman with him whom he said he was training. They worked quickly and did a good job cleaning all our carpets. He does have a casual attitude, but his work is very good.

They are excellent.  If I have questions or request certain things (dust that, pay special attention to this, etc.), they are responsive and work closely with me so that I am perfectly satisfied.  While they may seem to sometimes miss some basic things, all it takes is a note and they take care of it.  They are very easy to work with and priced extremely well.

I contacted Kenny, the owner of C&R cleaning, after seeing a deal on Deal Chicken. At first, the cleaning service seemed too good to be true. It was so good that I even told my friends of the cleaning service. Kenny seemed to have all the right answers and their first cleaning was amazing.  I had never had a cleaning service so admittedly, I was very nervous about trusting others in my home. Kenny said that his crew was an amazing crew which he "cherry picked". He stated that they were all people who he knew and that he wanted to have on his team. When asked how he ensures there is no theft he stated that he lets his crew know that he can and will "plant" items or money and if they are missing then he will not only fire that individual but file charges of theft as well. After he reassured me of how trustworthy and amazing his team was I began having them clean our home.  
C & Rs quality and honesty quickly washed away. I was told by Kenny, as was my husband, that we would have a regular crew come in weekly rather than different people every week. Even after months, we were seeing different individuals every week. This was unsettling to say the least. I wish I would have listened to my gut feeling and stopped the service when this kept occurring because as you will read it gets much worse.  While the first cleaning was truly amazing the cleanings after that all feel very short. I would come home and the tubs would not be cleaned, the refrigerator was not wiped down, the master closet was not swept, the tables not dusted...ect. I finally contacted Kenny and he did try to right the situation by coming back out however, the less than excellent cleanings continued. 
The main reason I write this review is this. In the end they ended up stealing from me. I am currently in communication with the local authorities to try and right this situation but it is slow and tedious to say the least. My husband came to me and mentioned that he thought the cleaners had stollen a video game (a new release best selling $60 game). He stated that he had put it on the top of the TV cabinet (where only he or I could reach) and now it was gone. We searched everywhere but it was gone. I tried to give Kenny and C & R cleaners the benefit of the doubt and just asked if they had seen it. Of course, they had not.  To this day, months later the video game is gone. 
The worst part...the very next week my platinum, certified wedding rings (2) and engagement ring (all of which were soldered together) were stolen. I wore my rings, my wedding rings on the left - my great grandmothers on the right, on Saturday 8/18. I came home and put them in my jewelry dish on my bathroom counter. Sunday 8/19 I did not wear my rings to work as I work in the hospital and often do not wear them to work given the germs/gloves that I come in contact with all day working at a hospital. The cleaners were the only ones in the bathroom on 8/19. MY RINGS were gone yet my great-grandmothers ring which was but a fraction of the value was there. 
Come to find out this "cherry picked" crew contained a young man who was still on PROBATION for a CLASS B FELONY  (burglary/theft).  When asked, Kenny did not know this. He "only knew" that he had charges of marijuana. He said that he DOES NOT DO BACKGROUD checks as he does "not want to be told who he can hire" by the insurance company.  I certainly wish that he had. A cleaning company has access to everything and there are no cameras as there are in retailers. I trusted them naively, and  C & R allowed this young man in my home when I was not home and he did what a thief does he stole. 
I will never get to give my daughters my wedding and engagement ring. I lost something so precious and valuable to me. 
In the end Kenny, the owner, took no responsibility for this. Even knowing that this man was a thief and lied on his application he sided with his employee rather than make things right with his customer. I had to submit it to my insurance and lost thousands secondary to inflation. The replacement will be a fraction of what I had. Not to mention that I will have higher premiums forever as a result of this. 
I write this review in hopes that I can save others the pain and loss that I have experienced.

Owner later for apt. Employees didn't do the work promissed and even one was let go the day of the job for poor work. Started with 4 people and quite with only 2 to finish up. Dusting was not done and cobwebs were not taken down as promissed. No light bulbs were changed as told and didn't even know the proper way to make a bed. Would not have back into my homeever again.
