1800 Water Damage

This company is one of the most unprofessional. From little to no contact, crews not showing up, the project went over, and now a year later the ceiling is falling apart. Iâ d rather not use this company ever again but at the same time need my ceiling fixed properly. If they canâ t do it they can cover the cost for someone else to.

The crew that came to my house was very likable and courteous. I had a water pipe break on Christmas Day. Water was everywhere on my main floor. When they were finishe with the job, (I even asked them on the last day about things that were left unfinished and shocked at what they said did not need to be removed), half of the linoleum floor was still in the kitchen with nails raising above all the floor. I could press the side of my kitchen wall and it would give. He said he was going to cut a hole in the bottom of the wall to dry it out, but did not. There were air bubbles on the kitchen walls with damage under the kitchen pantry, which they said did not need to be torn out. I have shelves in the living room with obvious water damage to them, but they said it did not need to be removed. My contractor was also shocked to see what all water damage areas were not taken care of. They threw everything out on my side yard and I had to call them three times before I could get someone to clean it up. They still left a bunch of debris behind. Could not they at least have laid a tarp out? The damaged articles they tore from the bathroom were in another room. I had to ask them to remove it. My kitchen light had water coming from it. They cut out a small portion of the ceiling. but about 4 feet from the light. The ceiling had obvious damage to it. I guess I was always under the assumption that when you hire someone to do a job, they carry the job threw to it is finish, not leave a good chunk of it for the Reconstruction guy to finish. When I saw the bill for what they had done, I was amazed, it definitely was not worth the price paid. Very shabby work.
