Tree Service
The owner came right out to do an estimate which I appreciated. We decided to wait for the ground to be frozen to make it easier for the truck to get to the back yard and not damage the lawn or sprinkler system. J. did supply us with proof of insurance which we asked for.
Unfortunately, the job was delayed due to some problems with equipment. The ground was not as hard as planned and the truck got stuck in our side yard and was very difficult to extract. So it became a multi-day deal.
Finally the truck was out and J. decided to take the tree down without the bucket. He and his helper worked carefully to remove the very large (and did I mention rotty) tree leaving the stump to the height that I requested. They cleaned up and hauled away all the debris.
Because" A Clean Cut's" price was quite a bit better than another quote, I decided to just throw a couple of bags of dirt and some grass seed on the ruts and call it ok. The sprinkler was fine.
The job did not go as planned but in the end the tree was gone with minimal damage and at a price lower than other quotes. J. was straightforward and kept in contact as needed.
I would use him again but would time things better.

Tree Service
The neighbors tree fell in our yard which and crushed our 10 year old burning bush and
drove his tree pulling machine though our yard that in spring we had re
seeded. Even though he has agreed to pay for the damages that are appox
$272 to fill ruts re seed the yard and replace the large bush - He has not sent
us a check so we can have the work done to our property like he said he
would. We have made two attempts to collect for damages .
My daughter came home and seen him tying to put the bush together to make it look like nothing happened. And the neighbor across the street watched it happen.
He gave my daughter his card and told her to tell us to call him. I have called twice and sent him the estimate from our landscaping company we use.
He says he is bonded - so now we must go though other channels to get paid for damages
