Karl called and showed up on time. He was very professional and answered all my questions and allowed me to watch and learn about removing and installing faucets that require solder. He explained that our water, due to its hardness, causes all sorts of plumbing issues. Karl was great!

Called for a an appointment. There was some mix up at the office, so I didn't get a response for awhile, but it did get sorted out after I called again.
Karl came right on time, looked at the problem, and then fixed it within 30 minutes. Did a great job at a good price.

The office was careful to tell us when the plumber would come. He came on time, worked well, and finished everything in an hour for an $80 service charge, plus the cost of the pump. He was good.

We needed drain into septic tank augered (“roto-rootered”), a job we have had done in this house half a dozen times over 25 years. Typically it takes a couple of hours work for one man who charges less than $200. Called Weiler. They sent two men instead of one with no advance notice. The two succeeded in run up seven hours for a bill near $500.
They went into the garage to auger the drain, which seemed to take quite a while although I wasn’t keeping time. When they finished, water was run to make sure the drain was clear. Their description of the task indicated there wasn’t a lot of blockage, probably less than the last time we had it done, which was not surprising since that was just two and a half years ago.
They offered to check septic tank to see if it needed pumping. I was pretty sure it did, but half an hour (what it usually took for a septic tank professional) seemed reasonable, just to make sure. I watched them poke the ground and do a little digging without finding the tank, then I went back inside to work. Thirty or forty minutes later I came down to see what was taking so long. They hadn’t found the tank and were trying to get a “listening machine” running so they could listen for the water flow. They were having trouble grounding the machine, the more senior of the two said. Their trouble was obvious. While he was saying this, his partner was trying to ground the machine by attaching the ground wire clamp to a PVC pipe attached to the concrete block wall in the garage. I resisted laughing at this and showed them how to get a proper ground and then went back inside. After another half hour or so I came down and they were ready to give up. They could not find the tank hatch and thus could not check the level.
They did not present a bill, saying they might have to come back to again. That didn’t make much sense. I knew the job was done. But if they preferred to send a bill, that seemed OK at the time. But they gave no indication that the bill was already nearly $500. After they had left I noticed that they had left unfilled an 18 x 18 inch hole which they had dug.
I was shocked when I got Weiler’s bill of course. They two men had managed to charge seven hours between them for a two hour job. Additionally there was a $65 charge added for a “Large sewer auger.” I wrote a detailed letter to the firm detailing the reasons for my displeasure and asking for an adjustment. A Mr. Dave Weiler called and we had a long conversation during which he refused to talk about the excess hours or the efficiency of his employees. Every time I tried to raise these issues he changed the subject back to the auger charge. Turns out they did not destroy an auger or buy a new one. The charge is a way they employ to fund the periodic replacement of cables and augers for the augering machine. Was this common billing practice among
plumbers, I asked. Mr. Weiler said he didn’t know what anybody else did. He did offer to take the auger charge off the bill.
When I said the bill was still excessive he hung up on me. That was several days ago I haven’t heard from him since.
The bill is still in dispute although out of a sense of fairness I sent a check for $160 to cover his out-of-pocket costs (wages and truck mileage).

We use them as our heating company, and we are very happy with them. They came late on a Sunday night when we had a water pipe break. They had to put a pipe in for a new dryer. We were going to install it ourselves, but he ended up installing the washer and dryer without charging us for it. We have been very happy with them. We have had them ever since we moved in eight years ago. There have been a couple times when I have called, and the receptionist said they would call before they came. They didn't call before they came; they just showed up at the door. He is very professional. We have mostly had the same man out to do work. We know him personally. He knows us, and he isn't bothered by the dog. Once or twice, we had problems with the furnace, and we had to call them back a couple times. After that, we haven't had to call them back. If we do call them back, there usually isn't any charge.

They gave us an estimate for $112 an hour. They failed to mention the fact that they had a minimum of two hours work and ended up trying to charge us $250. They ended up denying the fact that they told us it was a minimum of two hours work and we were able to get it down to $194. He was with us for no more than an hour and fifteen minutes. Everyone with this company had a different story on how to charge their customer. They told us that they started charging their customer as soon as the customer made an appointment, not the arrival time of the workers. We called the company to let them know that they need to be more clear with their pricing. We were satisfied with the installation, but they need to be more clear in their pricing.

I purchased the faucet from a different store and when he opened the package there were parts missing. I thought it was nice that he offered to take care of that for me at no extra charge. He was very prompt and very good about cleaning up afterwards, which I appreciated. I also liked that they called to let me know when they were on their way.
