Five trucks delivered concrete. Four of them dumped the left over tailings from the chute onto my grass and lawn. It set up, and was 3" thick in places. It required me to break it up with a sledge hammer, then shovel the pieces into a small trailer for dumping into a large hole. My son made a special trip from 3 hours away to help, and we spent over 5 man-hours getting rid of the stuff! At least one of the trucks drove where they didn't need to in the lawn, making humongous ruts! These ruts required a lot of repair. The smoothing concrete contractor said that the trucks didn't deliver the amount of concrete that he ordered on each load, delivering quite a bit less. This required more trucks, hence more ruts and lawn damage from tailings out of the chute. It was a fairly large pour, that occurred over two days. Smith is no more than 7 minutes from my house, so it would seem they could dump the tailings elsewhere - without dumping them in someone's lawn! I was not able to be home when the work was done, hence I couldn't keep an eye on the truck drivers.

It went great, the trucks were on time, the guys worked well with our workers. Nothing was rushed and we felt they timed the next truck perfect, one at a time and we were ready for the next truck. They communicated with the office and everything worked great. I've worked with other companies that were not this easy!
