Criminals, they took my car from a Valparaiso parking lot marked for "fifth third only" which I'm a member of. I stopped at the ATM in this parking lot and crossed the street to the county building to pay for a septic permit. When I left, they had my vehicle on the truck and were getting ready to leave. I tried to explain that I was a fifth third member and was only gone for 20 minutes and that I had never been there before, but they wouldn't cut me a break. I asked for their manager and called the police. Their manager arrived before the police unfortunately and physically assaulted me, pushing me into the road and to the other side. I asked the police what I should do, they said let them go. Kind of hard when a guy is hitting you. When the police finally arrived the Sandberg criminals were gone. I'm guessing that Sandberg handles the police impounds because the police said they might press charges against me too! No justice. Hopefully the next time this violent guy assaults someone that next someone will have nothing to lose and can retaliate in kind. I wish I could have but I'm sure I'd be the one with charges against me. This is how Valparaiso treats guests.

Sandberg's service is criminal. They took my car from a Valparaiso parking lot marked as "fifth third banking only". Being a 53rd member I thought it was OK if I parked, used the 53rd ATM on the parking lot and then paid for a septic permit in the county building located across the street. After taking only 20 minutes to get my septic permit, I came out to see my car just loaded and ready to leave. I tried to explain to the driver my interpretation of the signage and that I hadn't been there before and therefore was not familiar with an actual permit being required. He refused to unload my car so I called the authorities and asked that he get his manager so we could sort things out legally. Unfortunately for me, his manager arrived before the police and physically assaulted me (shoving violently and rearing back to punch me). Since I had the police/911 on the phone I asked what I should do as he hit me over and over again. They said go ahead and let him/the truck go, so I did. When the police asked if I wanted to press charges, I said "yes". But then they said they may press charges against me too, and I quickly got the message, the police were in with the towing company... the towing company probably helps them with impounds. So not only was I assaulted by someone who evidentally thought they were on one of those horrible reality impound shows, but then intimidated not to press charges. Since I am a member of 53rd, I took my complaint to them... so we'll see how that goes. Hopefully I can get some level of justice. Too bad there are such evil people as this out there. The police were ok, but one of them was laughing with Sandberg's when I arrived for the car.
