My first experience was great, but the second one was horrible. Instead of trimming, what they did was cut the shrubs in the front and left them almost dead and heavily trimmed everything at the back. The guys took a head trimmer and hacked everything. Everything looked worst after they came. I was so upset on what has happened.

"I was looking for this in our computer today for this is the first time I heard about this review. And it looks like you called and we didn't charge for this service because you were not happy with the service provided. On projects like this if you have different ideas or thoughts on how things should be trimmed we try to schedule when you are home so we can work together to get you exactly what you are looking for. As I mentioned it doesn't look like we charged you for the service and in the future if you would like to try us again I would love the chance to do it when you are home so you can guide us on exactly what you would like to see done. Thanks again and please feel free to contact our office directly (we never hear about these reviews until its to late to try to improve or response) if you have any other questions, comments, or concerns."

They are great. When I called them to see about the rates, the owner came out himself and he was efficient and punctual.

The service was completed but I feel they need to work on professionalism and customer service.
Problems:
They did not schedule a time to do the work. They just showed up and since the work was along my driveway I had no way to get out (luckily I did not need to).
They removed the dirt from my yard and placed it in a section of the yard that was near a pond. This section was not even a part of our property but they just dumped it there. No tarp or anything just dumped it by the pond.
They were supposed to fill the drain area with clean fill dirt (I was paying for this) and instead they used the dirt dumped by the pond and placed THAT into the newly installed drain area. When I questioned them on this they acted as if they could not understand my question and then just kept repeating "yes". I even asked if this was newly purchased dirt (pointing to the drain area that was freshly covered) and they said "yes". Clearly they did not understand me or were trying to lie to my face. I make their manager call me to clear it up.
The back and forth over the lawn to and from the pond with wheel barrows also damaged the lawn. Leaving mud and tire marks (especially near the edge by the water(pond)). This part of my yard should NEVER have been touched. It was never addressed in the consultation or estimate.
On top of this they removed stones from around MY YARD to place at the end of the drain pipe. Not only did this look tacky but AGAIN there was no asking what I would like to do or if it was ok to remove the stones from their previous locations.
I got the fill dirt charge removed from the bill BUT I did not want the sandy soil removed only to be placed BACK onto the drain. I had specified NEW fill dirt which I was fully prepared to pay for.
The crew also ate apples from my apple tree and left half eaten cores all over my yard. They did not ask. They simply helped themselves. On top of this they tried to plug a microwave into MY yard outlet (to make their lunch). They did not ask. They simply walked up WITH A MICROWAVE and looked for an outlet. I denied them the use of my outlet.
When I brought up my concerns to the owner he acted much like a toddler. He said he would rather take out the drain and refund our money than correct or adjust any of the issues we brought up to him. He was firm that his service was of good quality.
If you can honestly read the above and feel this is good quality service then I suppose he is right.
I won't be working with this company again.

"Thank you for the feed back for I do remember this project last season. I do remember we did have a wheel barrow and a shovel in the driveway but we did have men working around them. There were not piles or anything that would have taken more then a minute to move. My crew and I do take lunch on job sites for it gets expensive eating fast food everyday. We never had an issue with using an outlet for power at any of our customers house in all my years in business, but once you brought it to my attention I did tell the guys to take lunch off site as you requested. We installed the drain tile with rock and fabric to keep sand from getting into our pipe. So using any type of fill dirt is fine and I do apologize for trying to save you some money and come in under budget on the project. I don't remember why, for it has been a while, but you questioned the system. And I told you I would be happy to remove the system at my cost and refund you your entire money in full if you did not feel comfortable with the product. I assume you did for you did pay it in full. I appreciate your feedback and do agree the guys and myself have plenty of room for improvement. We did learn from this project and every project we do. Thanks again for the feedback! Rudy Vargas"

"If price is all your looking for in a service company then I can tell you we are not the company for you. If you are looking for a quality job, with experience workers and someone who is willing to stand behind every product then we are your company. I take pride in everything our crews do and always take time to listen and talk to every customer. That is something you cannot put a price tag on. Thanks for your feedback! Rudy Vargas"

I decided to use RV for this job because they were the most reasonably priced of the several estimates I received. Well, you get what you pay for. They started the job in October 2010 by busting up the current driveway. But instead of breaking up and removing just the two cracked sections as we had agreed on, RV broke up and removed the entire four-section drive, even the sections that did not have cracks in them. Upon returning from work and discovering this, I contacted RV to make sure they were not going to charge me for 4 sections, which they assured they would not. They finished pouring the concrete within the week and I paid them approximately $2,000. Just 3 months later in January 2011, I discovered two 12-foot long cracks across the top two sections. I notified RV; he came out an looked and said it was "normal concrete running its course and nothing really caused them to occur out of the normal." After I complained that I didn't feel that two long cracks in three-month old concrete was normal, he assured me he'd come out again in the spring to look and "come up with a solution." April 6, 2011, I discovered two more cracks. I notified RV, who said he didn't "know where to go from here," and asked me for my suggestions! When I suggested he re-do the job, he said if he did and found the previous job was ok, he would have to charge me again. He also checked with the concrete supplier he works with, who, of course, said the concrete batch was normal. On May 12, 2011, I found another long crack and emailed RV. He ignored my email. One month later, I emailed RV again, stating I would take my complaint to the state attorney general if he didn't resolve the matter. He offered to pour a new driveway with an inspector present to see if the driveway he poured was faulty, but if the inspector said it was not faulty, I would have to pay RV again for the job. Of course, this is an illogical and ridiculous suggestion: why would I want RV to do a second job if I felt they didn't do a good job the first time? I did file a complaint with the AG, who unfortunately, only looks for fraud. From the AG's letter: "While RV Property Enhancement's actions may support negligence, breach of contract, and or breach of warranty claims, such actions do not appear to rise to the level of fraud or deception. Our office does not have the statutory authority to bring legal actions for negligence, breach of contract or breach of warranty." To date, I have a total of 6 cracks in all four sections of a one-year old driveway, when before I hired RV, I had only two cracks in two sections of a 20-year-old driveway. Of course, I will never hire RV for anything again. At some point, I will have to re-hire another contractor to bust up the faulty job and pour a new driveway at double the cost because now the entire thing is full of cracks. I am sure RV will respond to this report, but "Caveat emptor! "
Response from Rv Property Enhancement
"Although we do find it upsetting that the member is unhappy with the work done, we stand behind the work that was performed. We not only had the concrete batch tested (which came back normal), but we also had another concrete company come out to inspect the work done. Again, no fault was found in the work perfomed. We were willing to have the driveway tested, yet again, when it was torn out. Of course, if the work was found to be free of defect, we should not have to incur the cost to repour the same driveway. We are regretful that this situation could not come to an amicable conclusion. We do, however, wish the member all the best in her future endeavors."

The owner called and asked about the job. He then came out, surveyed the job and sent a quotation via e-mail. Once we approved the quotation, the job was finished within a few days exactly as described.

I was having the worst time trying to get tree service people to come out and quote cutting up my tree. The two that did were extremely high priced and the people were weird. RV Property Enhancement had been working on my neighbors landscaping and I mentioned to one of the workers about my difficulty. He said he would give me an estimate to cut it up right after he finished for the day at my neighbors. The price they quoted me was a quarter of the other companies and they performed the service the next day. I will definitely use them again! Excellent job!!
