$160.00 for a fifteen dollar valve and fifteen minutes of work... oh and the new valve leaked. I called immediately and left a message but didn’t hear anything back. I wasn’t able to contact someone until 8:30 the next morning. When I finally was able to contact the plumber he went on to explain what was “wrong” with the valve. He acted as though it was my responsibility to deal with it. He did return to fix the issue and he apologized to my wife for “making her husband mad”.

We have used Hines Plumbing twice in the several years we have owned our home. First for a toilet/toddler/paper towel incident and most recently for our hot water heater. In both instances, I called around to several places literally just to speak to someone. Hines Plumbing was the ONLY place to answer or call me back in both instances. Hines Plumbing was prompt and came and fixed both our issues very quickly. For our hot water heater, the phone call was placed at 0730AM and by 1230PM, it was fixed, no issues, no worries. Jack performed the work on our house both times. Hines Plumbing is a very professional and courteous organization. They perform quality and reliable work. Going forward, if we should have any other plumbing needs, I'm not even going to bother calling anyone else. Hines Plumbing is locally owned and operated which is our preference for most of our business dealings. If you have plumbing needs, I highly recommend Hines Plumbing! Better Call Jack!

We arrived home to find our water shut off by the city and a note stating that there was a leak where our water service started at the water main.  The note also stated that it was OUR responsibility to fix the leak. 
  We called Hines as well as two other companies for estimates, all of which came out Thursday morning.  The rep from Hines was the first to arrive and saw that the leak was under the sidewalk.  The rep stated that in all likelihood the leak was only in that spot and due to the age of the house (10 years old), it was unlikely but possible that the entire line had to be replaced.  He said that if it were just the connection at the main it would be about $2400 and it would cost more if they had to dig out the entire line to the house.  He stated that since the excavator would already be there that the cost would minimal if they had to dig out the remainder.  He said they would be out first thing in the morning. 
  The second company rep came out a while later.  He immediately asked for access to the basement which I obliged.  He stated that in all likelihood they would have to replace the entire line and that it would cost about $3500 to do so.  I asked him what if the leak was at the connection and he was evasive, finally stating that the "worst case it would be $3500".  I asked for the best case and he again did not directly answer until I asked him a third time.  At that point he stated about $2000.  He said his excavator would be out to check out the area.  (At this point the line surveyors were out thanks to Hines).  After he departed I already knew that I would receive a $3500 bill from this company whether it needed to be done or not. 
  The rep from the third company arrived at the same time as the excavator from the second.  They were out talking for a while and then came to the door.  The rep stated that I should give my business to the second since they were closer.  He didn't bother to give me a price, just stated that it would be about the same. 
  After they departed I immediately called company number two and informed them that I was not doing business with them. 
  Hines arrived on time the next morning and completed all work as needed.  They called to let me know that they will be out in the spring to replant the grass where they had to dig.  They also did not destroy the sidewalk.  They cut it at the seams and lifted it out with the excavator and replaced it when they finished their work. 
  I felt they were far more honest and accurate in the work performed. 

Very polite and professional. Took his shoes off at the door and got down to business. Within an hour everything is back working.

The plumber, Mark, worked skillfully and completed the work in two separate visits to our home. Second visit was required because when removing the old kitchen sink we discovered the cut out was not able to accommodate the new stainless steel sink, necessitating visit by granite company to enlarge the hole.

Mark's work was excellent and there were no other surprises.

I liked the fact that this plumbing company prices its work by the hour so I know exactly what I'm paying for.

We received prompt and excellent service from this company. The service was very professional and quickly performed. The service provider was very careful about keeping his walk through areas clean and even helped clean up some of the backwash. We were impressed.

He stayed until it worked the way I wanted it to work.

It went very good, they are very good plumbers they are just pricey.

Mark arrived exactly as agreed, at 8:30 a.m. He was professional and courteous. When he ran into a problem (involving the hookup of the dishwasher to the disposal) that required the purchase of a new water supply valve and supply line, he explained what the trouble was and resolved it. He successfully completed the installation and ran a few test loads. He removed and disposed of the old dishwasher without additional charge, which pleased me as I had been told by the seller that I would probably be responsible for having the old one picked up. The installation took longer than I expected (3 hours); this is partly because the trip to get the additional parts took about 35-40 minutes. I don't think Mark could have anticipated that this would be required.

Mark, very pleasant and professional and knowledgeable about problems. Worked quickly and efficiently. Very pleasant and left work area in neat condition.

Owner & crew were n time. He explained to us what all they were gonna do. Crew went to work. If there was a questions as to what we wanted they explained. Water was back on by end of day. Next day crew member came back & fixed clean out. Water pressure is great. Tub & surround look fantastic.

They came out and did some work for us. When we called to finish a job we had discussed with them they never returned our calls. We called more several times with no response.
