This time, it was just a basic repair.. But I've been using them since I first came here back in 2011. Finding they serviced the city's vehicles. I thought there was something seriously wrong with my old car and told them so; they could've gauged me and fixed the minor problem but fixed it and explained it to me, charging me minimally. Later on, maybe a year later, I brought my car in and this time, at 166.000 miles they told me it was the transmission and they couldn't fix it. After cajoling them, they gave me the name of a local transmission place on Joliet that fixed it. All partied were cordial, respectful, kind, and respectful. Ernie's became not only my gas station but who I trusted for every repair and oil change. When I purchased my replacement car after an accident, the timing chain went. They explained everything and charged me within the expected range - less than others. Many more stories to be told but Mike and the mechanics are incredible there -- and it truly is a trusted, small town, competent and honest establishment..

We called Fred on a Sunday with an unconventional request. Our brick mailbox had been knocked down and we needed it pulled back onto it's base and stood up. He came out within 30 minutes and had our mailbox standing in just a few more. It didn't cost a fortune to have him come out on the weekend. He was careful not to damage the mailbox any more. I definitely wouldn't hesitate calling them in the future for any towing needs.
