Crown Wheele Mechanical

I waited to write this review because I do not like to be negative about people, however I do not think anyone else should have to pay for the poor workmanship that I paid for.My installation was done poorly by techs Ben and Dave. They clearly need more training. Install was a single stage Bryant HE Furnace and AC. The bad: The flu vent that they disconnected was left blowing Carbon Monoxide from the Hot Water Heater inside my home. The newly installed PVC vent pipes were not supported glued or fastened properly and leaked condensate. The flashing on the roof for the new Flu pipe was installed improperly I had my roofer fix it correctly. The furnace blower was not set up properly because the techs did not know how to do it. They told me that it was done automatically which is untrue and shows lack of knowledge. I had this corrected on my own. Andy the owner was nice and tried to make things right for me however how do you trust inferior techs to fix what they messed up in the first place? I would not let these techs back inside my home. There are clearly better options out there. Don't make the same mistake I did.

It went smooth as silk. everything done on time and under budget!  due to the complexity of the systems hardly anyone else would even bid the job

The workmen arrived promptly in the morning. The new condenser unit
was dropped in the middle of the driveway which made it very difficult to get
any of the cars out of the driveway...we managed. Business truck was parked so
it had easy access in and out of the drive. They had to remove old air conditioner
unit from the basement which resulted in lots of water on the workroom floor.
Workmen covered the basement floor with drop cloths so it didn't damage the
wood basement flooring when they removed the old unit, however, the workroom
area was not covered nor was the excessive amount of water cleaned up by the
repairmen...my husband did it. There was so much water that we thought the new
unit had a leak...it didn't. Both men were very polite while they worked.
Electrical wires were left tangled and dangling in the garage and basement workroom
and an electrical box was left unattached to the wall. This was pointed out to
the owner who made a follow up call five days later and he said he would send
someone to clean up the wiring both in the workroom and in the garage and
reattach the electrical box.
We are very pleased with the new unit but we are not pleased with the
completion or lack of completion of the job by the workmen. While the product
is a good one, more attention needs to be given to clean up and the total
completion of the job.

I have used them quite a few times and they are down to earth. They come out on time and have also helped me out during emergency calls.

Our central air conditioner was getting pretty old, so we got an estimate from Crown-Wheele for a new unit. The salesman explained that we needed additional ducting for it to work properly. Our house is old and has had some issues in that area, so that was reasonable.
When the crew came to install there was some confusion about where to locate some of the new ducting. The crew had to verify with the manager a couple of times. I knew what he had told me, but they did not seem to know. There were also some damper controls not installed, though the salesman did mention them to me as he was reviewing the system. I called about that and they did correct it.
Overall it seemed the ductwork installation was lacking in professionalism.
We have been a customer of Crown-Wheele for several years and getting annual maintenance from them. They are usually good about that type of service. It was a mixed bag on the project.
